(the dad is the one sitting in the stool, the mom is the one with the bundle, the rest are the big brothers...but it's so hard to people not on the Tolkien fandom because all elves look young...damn those elves!!)

it is. there's one at home, so when I had to figure out a design for elven furniture I just turned my head to the left and copied that.

I've seen that furniture up close and what they do is bend wet wood until it has the shape they want...I headcanon elves would so something similar so they don't have to "cut or hack" at the wood.
