OwO what's this

I was at the beach, with a sprained ankle (aka unable to go for a walk) and sketched up some lions... then I went on a roll. I have more, but they didn't fit, so I'll put them into another submission.

08/03/2019 edit: Re-made the lineart from scratch, I really like the cleaner style. Darkened Nyota's colors a bit, to match Nuka a little better, instead of just taking Tiifu's; and took away the cheek spots, they blended in too much (also updated the family tree with the new colors).
Other than that the only thing that changed is the anatomy, since I could fix the proportions better (and the face shape... I really like drawing the faces).

In order:
-A Nuka x Tiifu babey, he's got the short end of the stick when it comes to genetics though, he's a maneless lion.
This pair is a bit weird, but it has grown on me, still not going to use any of TLG lore, just the characters. Despite being older than any other cub in the pride, he ends up being the smallest as an adult.

-Ah yes, the design everyone and their mothers have used at this point, the Nuka plush. What can I say, I really like it. This guy is Kovu and Kiara's firstborn, and the future king of the Pridelands. He's a big boy, roughly mufasa-sized; he got his cheek fluff from Kovu's dad.

-And finally we have Mheetu, of course, I tried to incorporate his concept art as much as possible. I used to have him be Vitani's dead twin, but now he's more around Nuka's age. He leaves the pridelands to stay with Kopa, that ran away (after his parents told him he was bethrothed). They end up in a pride of rogue male lions (the one Kovu's dad lives in). They eventually find Nuka washed up on the riverbank(he was still alive, he woke up when the dam broke and managed to cling to a log), and help him.

I'll make proper refs for them once I'm back from my vacation.

edit: now that I moved the layered file on my PC I added the nose gradients
