Very nice lighting in this photo. Soft, subtle, very rich colours that complement the mood of the subject. the yellow tint of the lights give the photo an old-style sepia feel, which matches the age of the subject. Hitchcock used upward pointing lighting to give scenes in his movies a feeling of unease and un-naturalness. Despite the welcoming colour of the image, the angle of the lightning suggests that this is not entirely a friendly place, and that maybe something sinister lives here. Overall it's a wonderfully emotive image with lots of interesting detail. A terriffic capture!
