I can't get enough of this. It's heartbreaking and yet the image has such a softness to it. The detail in his face even captures his character. Cullen would look like this. Beautiful.

It's funny how expressionless, this conveys more emotion than if he were sobbing. (At least, he seems emotionless, I don't see tears). It's that amazing tip of the spear where he's between hope and despair - the fragile balance between: disbelief. I was circumstantially listening to Corynorhinus from the Batman Begins soundtrack & "Aurora" by Hans Zimmer when I found this and each fits frighteningly well…I'm honestly inspired to write something based on this scene even though it isn't cannon. You can feel Cullen's grown grief and hopelessness with each passing second, and the ominous glow of what's most likely red lyrium behind him makes it a perfectly deceptive warm contrast to the image.
Beautiful work! I wish I could make the lower portion my wallpaper but I'll settle for just staring at this for inspiration in the mean time.
If I get around to writing that story I'll link to your art for the inspiration.

There are no tears, I think Cullen wouldn't be able to shed any after everything he had been through.

Еще бы людям не понравилось, биовары даже если бы делали грустную концовку, такой красивой сцены не придумали бы!!
Игру еще не прошла, но в общих чертах знаю про инквизитора и Каллена, и хоть я сама люблю и уважаю грустные концовки, здесь я все таки рада хорошему исходу.(Больше даже за Каллена, ну вот как бы он страдал? )
А если б кончилось плохо, глядя на ваш арт я бы вообще рыдала. Навзрыд, потому что оторваться все равно невозможно
