The poor thing, that is true neglect. It sucks being ignored, especially by those you look up to. I'd imagine in JOE's case his creator was important to him, and to be shot down by such a person is really hurtful. No wonder he's so odd in current. This noodle armed boi needs love ;A;
Honestly this is so brilliantly done, the shading really captures the emotion and feeling of being ignored and unwanted. The dull tones match not only the game but the overall feel of this AU so beautifully. JOE's expression and pose is absolutely heartbreaking too, shows he means no harm and the only similarity to Joey he has is his looks. Unfortunately, that appears to be enough of a reason for his creator to push him away. Someone save this child. Amazing work as always!

I'm getting the implications that the creator's disappearance is at least partly JOE's doing. He likes to make people happy. His creator doesn't like him, so what better than to remove them so they don't have to see him anymore?
