My OC Saccarro. The second OC I ever came up with. He is the rival of my first OC, Jay. Saccarro is normally an undead skeleton, and is only human when under enchantment, which is usually only an illusion.

When Jay first joined the battle against evil, he was warned that due to some kind of universal law, he would come up against a rival, a figure whom he would instinctively hate. That figure was Saccarro.
Saccarro was a cruel and devious necromancer, a skeleton who delighted in causing pain and horror. He also liked having a good number of minions. In time (hundreds of years), he grew out of his "childish" cruelty, and began taking measures to not cause unnecessary pain if it could be avoided without much trouble. He also began to think more, focusing on the quality of his troops, not just quantity. He also began training apprentices of his own.

Skip forward another few hundred years. After an certain event (which can't be told right now because of potential spoilers for my story, Fragments), Saccarro and Jay find themselves as the only two left of their original group of friends and connections. The two were forced to accept that they were not only stuck with each other but each was also kind of the only thing keeping the other going. After fighting for so long, they had become a strange kind of friends, able to read each other's moods and desires easily, yet often tense around each other and in disagreement.

In order to keep Jay friendly, Saccarro has attempted to be less sinister, with mixed success (after all, he's still a necromancer, and a researcher of the dark arts). He goes through periods of lesser and greater "evil", which also determines the level of cooperation between he and Jay at the time.
Currently, Saccarro has been focusing on something he calls the "True Soul". Saccarro found that when necromancers extract souls, they are actually only getting scraps of the soul while the rest floats away. He had hypothesized this for some time, as he knew how powerful souls could be and found it strange that one gave a single servant only a little strength. He eventually found a way to extract a person's entire soul, though it is a very delicate process which takes 3-5 years and requires the subject to be completely unaware of what is happening to them. However, the true souls Saccarro has acquired have given him the means to create undead super soldiers, or his "monstrosities". All in all, he's a bad man to cross.

Powers:
-proficient in necromancy
-research has given him knowledge of the body's weak points, and of many ways to strike at the mind and soul (though much of his mental and soul magic is quite difficult to cast and have many risks).
-strong in fire and lightning magic. Can combine these with necromantic and dark magic to create horrific spells and creatures.
-good with a scythe.
-familiar with long-range teleportation (cannot teleport at will though, and it's way too inefficient to do for most travelling).

Weaknesses: (since any good character has these)
-Pride: Being very old an possessing many powers, he does see himself as above most other people. This has led him to suffering setbacks due to underestimating his opposition, like so many other villains. While he has grown more cautious over the years, he still can't help but feel superior
-Not too sturdy in a physical battle. While he may be a good fighter, landing any solid debilitating blow on him will put him out of a fight, or at least force him to retreat and try healing himself.
-Strong reliance on spells. If his magic is blocked or countered, his effectiveness is greatly diminished.
-His apprentices are a fickle lot, and keep turning on him. Also, the average undead minion is pretty trashy, and doesn't hold up well.
-Quick temper. Despite his intellect, he is infuriated when his carefully laid plans are messed up, no matter how or by who. His anger makes him rash.
