I am finally making a princess pony pattern. Here is what I have so far. There are some changes I know I already want to make. It will probably take a couple more iterations to get the body to where I want it to be. I would appreciate any feedback good or bad. Plushie makers: The back legs tend to splay out and curve outward. Any advice?Related content

Looks great so far! I had the same ''splaying out'' problem with the legs on my Applejack plush. I figured out that the butt needed to be wider so they would be in the right position. Maybe that's the problem here as well.

Not really sure. I am making a smaller version first, and then I am going to blow up the pattern to around 19 inches for the final version.

To fix the back legs, give her more booty! You need to padd the bum out so it pushes outwards, rotating the legs.

It's amazing, except, you might want to balance it out more because the neck is a bit too thick and the but too skinny.

Do you mean the back legs splay in default position, or is this default powition? If so, they don't look that bad to me.
Now the curving outward seems a little strange. 
Otherwise, looking good.

It's always hard to tell without the head, but I feel like the chest comes out just a tad too far, except in the Top Right picture it looks perfect so I'm not sure...

The legs on mine splay a lot; move them to where
you want them to be, and ladder or whip stitch them
into place? I don't know if that's something you've tried
though
