Scenario: You're the new Pokemon Champion in [your favorite region] when one day, you hear rumors of a new Pokemon. Some people say that this Pokemon existed alongside Arceus and helped it shape the universe. Others say that it's a false god using its power as a means to fuel its oversized ego by forcing people and Pokemon to acknowledge them as a higher being. Whether or not the rumors were true, you bring your team of Pokemon and set off to find this mythical creature. As you explored the entire region, you and your starter Pokemon eventually hear an unfamiliar voice, a voice that would mildly shake your very being.

???: I know you're looking for me. Just listen to my voice and trust your instincts.

Cautiously, you chase after the voice and after several more minutes of searching, you find it. A bat-like Pokemon floating in place with its back towards you. Your partner Pokemon growl at the mythical Pokemon's presence, while you just stand there quieter than a Pikachu. Hands shaking, you grab a Pokeball and launch it at the newcomer... only for the ball to simply bounce off of nothing. A cold chuckle thunders in your mind as the new Pokemon turns to face you before opening its eyes.

Its glaring, darkness-enveloped, golden eyes. It took everything in you not to turn and run away after simply glancing at them.

???: I'm annoyed that you're even here. I'm not a collector's item. I'm not a pawn in your game... but since you've come this far, I might as well entertain you. But be warned, child... Win or lose, you will acknowledge me. Just like all of the others.

Matalosi bears a ring around its arm as a symbol of its rule and unmatched power. Should anyone attempt to take this ring, they will wish they were never born.
