Description
When I first made my Spidersona, she was originally known as Silkfire and her suit was mostly white with some light blue and magenta, and her signature ability - Arachnferno - was a fiery blast that was hot enough to melt the strongest metals. I redesigned her again and Silkfire was reborn as Arachnophobe and for a time, I was satisfied... Until Across the Spider-Verse.

After seeing so many amazing Spidersonas, I started to hate mine again and I didn't know why until it hit me. Arachno didn't look like a Spidersona mainly because of the lack of a spider symbol, so it was back to the drawing for the third and final time. In regards to the suit's design, I referenced the cobalt blue tarantula and made it a little darker. As for the chest pattern, while it's not an actual spider, it at least takes the general shape of a spider. The black was probably my favorite part because it kinda looks like she's wearing a jacket - which I enjoy wearing, especially if they have pockets. I ultimately decided to remove her Spider Frenzy ability but kept the appendages that she can retract at any time. The more I look at her, the more satisfied I am. Now she looks like she lives up to her name.

Since we're here, I might as well give you her backstory. Being raised by her widowed mother, she had a fairly simple childhood and although she barely had any lasting friendships, she was happy. One day, when she was on her way home from work, she suddenly became the hostage of one Doctor Octochet, a madman made entirely out of yarn. Despite the police's best efforts to save this poor woman, the mad doctor dropped her and she crashed through the roof of a seemingly abandoned warehouse before landing on some radioactive materials... which a spider just happened to crawl into moments ago. When she got her powers, she wanted nothing to do with them and wanted to go back to living a normal life. However, after the death of her mother at the hands - or tentacles - of the doctor, she decided to put some use into them and became Arachnophobe, using her powers to make sure nobody else suffers the way she did.
