What is this?! What am I doing?! I'm supposed to be busy with other things, not making random pictures of China!I think I have a serious inability to ignore my random inspiration. I need to kill it quickly so I can get this video done at least. -_-
Though if I do that, I won't get anything done...life is rough.

Pffft. I see Kaz mentioned below about me saying China has magical length changing hair. XD But oh my gosh China looks freakin hot with really long hair. Ā >< Don't mind me, just being a fangirl.
Love the pic, I love me some dark stuff.

Yeah, she did. XD I thought that was so hilarious because I'd actually said the exact same thing myself in a motivational poster...months before I met you. It's pretty ironic. o3o
I've always loved long, dark hair so much, so this has been a lot of fun for me. owo I just can't stop playing with this stupid hair!
(Dunno if you've seen the movie Frozen, but I actually got inspired to make this after listening to the Mandarin version of Let It Go. It's a really pretty version~!)

(How the...*stops self from using word she would regret.*
How does someone not like Disney?! I mean, some of the best movies in the world came from Disney! I mean, like...everything...Disney inspired freaking anime for crying out loud! There would be no anime without Disney! )

Sorry, I can't stand it. All the stories and plots are too predictable (at least for me) I don't like random singing out of no where (Makes you wonder how I like MLP X'D ) and this is gonna make me sound morbid but...well, its just...too happy for me. >< I did however love The Lion King and Pirates of the Caribbean. Those are honestly the only Disney stuff I like. XD
š: 0 ā©: 1
GreenwavesInactive In reply to ShannaHeart [2014-04-03 00:40:29 +0000 UTC]
But no...seriously, not all the plots are predictable, and there are so many movies that don't include singing! I mean...The Black Cauldron was so dark it was controversial! The Hunchback of Notre Dame was musical, but it was also so adult that my mom wouldn't let me watch it as a kid. What about Treasure Planet? A guy got sucked into a freaking black hole in that! Alice in Wonderland was really dark for a lot of it. And Just about all of the Pixar movies? Those don't have singing usually, and Pixar in particular often has these really unique plots! And I know Frozen, while it was lighthearted at times, had some very dark and emotional moments. I'm sorry, I just can't believe someone can not like Disney...there's just so much diversity there! I can understand not liking the traditional Disney Princess movies...but only liking The Lion King and Pirates of the Caribbean? There are so many movies that are way darker than The Lion King! I mean, the Lion King had about 3 moments that weren't all happy-go-lucky. Frozen's about the same feel as The Lion King...I kinda get the feeling you haven't really tried a lot of Disney, have you?

No. I tried a ton of Disney, and where I live, everyone hates it. Pixar movies don't keep me entertained, I find most of them stupid to be honest, and I'm not gonna watch Frozen. I'm sick of seeing it everywhere as well. Alice in Wonderland wasn't even the original story. American Mcgee's Alice does it way more accurately, though I will admit Tim Burton did a good job. The 1st one, I thought sucked. (And I'm a big Alice fan mind you. ) I never saw Treasure Planet, Hunchback of Notre Dame bored me. Is it really THAT big a deal I don't like a certain production?

GreenwavesInactive In reply to ShannaHeart [2014-04-03 00:54:28 +0000 UTC]
Sorry if I ticked you off at all. I wasn't trying to make a big deal out of it or anything, it's just that was probably the most shocking thing I'd ever read in my entire life, that's all. I wasn't trying to diss on your opinion or anything, I was just literally trying to wrap my mind around someone not liking Disney. Like I said, there's just so much diversity. I really have always felt like a person has to see every Disney movie before making a judgment, mostly because just about every one has an entirely different production staff behind it. The fact that Pirates of the Caribbean was done by Disney is proof enough of that. I just honestly don't get it at all. o-o
(Personally, I hated Tim Burton's Alice and Wonderland. It was nothing like the original story, and most of the Tim Burton formula and such was way overused. I've read the book, and in my personal opinion the Disney Alice was probably a lot closer to the original feel of the story.)

(The original story was so morbid though. )

I'm not trying to change your opinion, I was just trying to get it. Disney was my childhood, so hearing someone say they don't like it was kind of a personal blow for me. It's the first thing that made me feel any sort of attachment to fiction at all. My first tears caused by fictional deaths came from Disney, my first laughs came from Disney...you're allowed to not like it, of course, it was just how bluntly and unwaveringly you said it felt almost like a slap in the face...It also really confused me when you said that it was too happy for you, but then said The Lion King was one of the only things you liked. I mean, Hakuna Matata? How in the world is that darker than The Black Cauldron? (rhetorical question, mind you. This is just what was going through my mind.) I didn't mean to make you mad, I was just like, what?
(Yeah, but it was also about a drug trip. I mean, why in the world did Burton try to give Alice in Wonderland logic? What's all this about a prophecy? At least the Disney version got the sense of the upside down world and the aimless wandering of the original.)

ShannaHeart In reply to GreenwavesInactive [2014-04-03 01:14:04 +0000 UTC]
The Lion King was apart of my childhood. Thats why I like it. Though most Disney stuff I saw as a kid and still didn't like. And also because I could relate to the Lion King so much. Except I didn't have a Hakuna Matata because I was honestly planing suicide back in the day. And I'm sorry, but I'm a very blunt person. I don't sugar coat anything nor am I an asshole who just randomly throws insults everywhere. ...Though I do become a huge douche when I'm angry. (My friends say I'm not one but I think I'm one in general. >.> )
(How many Alice books are there? Two? And Tim Burton's movie was based on the 2nd? I'm sorry, I'm just trying to remember. )
š: 0 ā©: 1
GreenwavesInactive In reply to ShannaHeart [2014-04-03 01:22:26 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, I get being blunt, and I'm sorry I jumped on you like that, but it's kind of like...I dunno. Disney holds a huge chunk of my heart, and if Disney gets slammed, so does that chunk of my heart, so yeah, it can be a pretty painful blow. Just...reading that left about a bajillion movies (from cheesy things like Winny the Pooh all the way to Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas) spinning around in my head and I was just going "bu-bu-bu...That's like the one thing I thought I shared with humanity! ;A;" Like, don't get me wrong, if you don't like Disney that's fine. I just won't ever, ever understand.
(Yeah, there are two Alice books. Alice in Wonderland and Through the Lookinglass. I've read both of them enough times to say with complete confidence that Tim Burton's movie had nothing to do with either of them. I mean, the Jaberwocky wasn't even a character in the original. It was part of one of the many poems recited in the book. A lot of things didn't make sense in that movie...or rather, they made too much sense. I can sit down with Lewis Caroll's books all day and I'm sure I'll never find a war plot anywhere.)

...Shit, I forgot all about Nightmare Before Christmas. Sorry, that makes only three Disney movies I like. I always forget that was made by Disney.
(Alright thanks. And yeah, I don't remember there being a war plot either to be perfectly honest. )

GreenwavesInactive In reply to ShannaHeart [2014-04-03 01:28:52 +0000 UTC]
Oh. For some reason that makes things a lot better. o3o Dunno why. XD
(You're welcome. Yeah, I think that was my main reason for disliking it. There were a lot of things about the Burton version I liked (as overused as I think Johnny Depp is in Burton films, I still thought he did a pretty good job), but the overarching plot was what seriously bugged me. It's weird, too, since I thought for sure Burton would be able to get it right.
)

Sorry that I completely forgot about that one. >.<
(I thought he did a good job and I preferred his version, but it wasn't really the 'through the looking glass' it was more like an alternate tale. ._. )

GreenwavesInactive In reply to ShannaHeart [2014-04-03 01:39:15 +0000 UTC]
That's fine. XD I guess one of the main reasons I was so shocked is that I couldn't believe there was nothing else besides Pirates of the Caribbean that you thought was any good. I feel like remembering Nightmare Before Christmas was a score for me, so I'm glad you forgot it.
(Yeah, I guess that kind of works...it just so didn't fit into the world of Alice for me. XD I did like the design of it a lot. Very Burtton..y, and that's always a good thing. =w= )
You know, on a somewhat different note, I kind of get the feeling that since you don't like Disney you might agree with me on this. Did you ever see The Little Mermaid?

(Why, thank you. =w= Burton's style is so unique, it required it's own word.)
Yay! Then in that case do you mind if I hate on it to you if I ever feel the need? I tend to hear people praising Arial everywhere and, to be frank, she's one of the few things in the world that seriously annoys me. Unfortunately, nobody agrees with me, so I always end up having to deal with it on my own.

Yay! My life is complete! \;7;/ I'll be sure to take you up on that whenever she manages to tick me off again.
(On another side note, if you like Chinese singers at all, the Mandarin version of Let It Go is still a really good song...just if you're interested at all in checking it out. It's only 3 minutes, so it's not like it's a huge waste of time if you don't like it. >w>

That's great. XD I mean, regardless of whether you like Disney or not, you can't deny that at least girls like Mulan were pretty good role models for little girls. Ariel...was just a spoiled ungrateful brat, plain and simple.
(Yay! \;7;/ I've just been wanting to show that song to a China fan. =w= The singer is very, very good.)

And you seem to be the only one. e-e Well, you and my younger cousin anyway. She's only 8 years old and she actually came up to me and said pretty much exactly that. I was both surprised and impressed. XD

I usually force myself into these things. XD Plus I thought it was weird that there was a pony!Shanna page doll and not a regular Shanna one. That has now been fixed. XD (I tried making a Shanna shimeji before, didn't really work out.Ā
Good for your cousin! Ā

I think it's a miracle that I'm actually able to finish half the edits I do. I'm terrible at finishing things. (I wouldn't even try a shimeji. Moving just the eyes and mouth is one thing, but I'm not doing the whole body! Haha!)
Yeah, when she came up to me and said that out of the blue, I just gave her a pat on the back and said "good girl!"
(Yay! I love going and listening to songs in multiple languages, especially Chinese.)

(I tend to always like the Chinese, Polish, and European Spanish versions of everything. There's sometimes a few others I'll like depending on the song, but those ones are always sure fire for me. I'm kinda disappointed that I didn't like the Norwegian version of Let It Go more since it's set in Norway and, well, I'm Norwegian. Ah, well. What can you do.)
