As I mentioned awhile ago somewhere, I was on a Belarus trip recently. I can't really explain it, but she suddenly really interested me. To be honest, I really feel sorry for her. I know she's really popular with a lot of people, but I feel that even her fans kind of look past her a little bit. In my eyes, Belarus really does love her brother, and since you can't exactly control who you love, that's not really her fault. Sure, from the outside looking in, we can certainly see why Russia's terrified of her, but it's got to be so painful and confusing for Belarus herself. I mean, Russia literally wants everyone to become one with him EXCEPT for her. She probably has no idea why Russia reacts the way he does toward her. She's really trying her best to show him how much she loves him, but he always runs away and tells her to leave him alone. That flat-out rejection has got to hurt, no matter how she may act. Especially since she knows that everyone else abandoned Russia. She was the one who came back to him and promised to stay by him no matter what, so why doesn't he want her? What does she lack that everyone else in the world has?

Of course, as I mentioned, we're able to understand why Russia's afraid of her. That doesn't make Belarus' situation any less heartbreaking, though. She might not be my first or even second favorite female character in Hetalia, but I still am interested in her a lot, and I really feel sorry for her. So here's a little something I made dedicated to her and her devoted love of Russia. It's okay, Belarus! Someday, maybe you'll find someone who can really love you. Not Lithuania, though. I love my LietPol too much. ;w;
