Description Had this beautiful sunset tonight. Its the middle of summer, yet we got this cold change and the temperature suddenly dropped from 30 to 12 degrees. Thats really strange, I was freezing, lol. But with that came rain and the sunset was totally amazing ... and my sister and I were out walking in the cold and this just happened to look rather cool ... This is just behind our house, literally.

The girl is Rosie.

Enjoy a bit of Australian scenery ... its a gum tree

"You'll remember me, when the west wind moves ... apon the fields of barley.
You'll forget the sun, in his jealous sky ... as you walk in fields of gold ..."

i really love the colours, it looks so soft and calm.
at one side the sky's blue and then on the other is pink, you can't really tell when they got mixed up and create such beauty.
i simply love it!

Its taken with my very first camera, a very old sony cybershot i think it was called (now enjoying retirement, ie, it died) and thats why the quality isn't as good as my later shots, but all I did was contrast the light and colours a little to make it stand out more. I didn't do much to the image at all..

Thanks very muchly, glad you like it, Luke

I envy you for having a camera. I have spent more then enough time out on the country side and out in the woods on lakes etc. but each time I find a particularly amazing sunset, I find myself without a camera.

How was your Australia Day? Mine was hot, but wonderful. I'm glad the Aussies won the cricket.

I'm resubmitting this for prints, so it should become available in the next day or 2, thats if you are still interested, ofcourse!

Aww, thankyou! It was the colours that made this, it would be nothing in black and white. Thankyou!

GoldenOuroboros In reply to Gregoria [2005-02-26 03:18:51 +0000 UTC]

I don't think it'd be nothing in black and white.. perhaps if you had the levels right, or perhaps a mix of both..
One can only try and test, a hypothesis is worthless if you don't search for a result.
