Description
Exploring the whole Monk/Village theme ....I have explored more with vivid colours and used the suns rays more in creating the mood.
I like to think of this place as a safe haven for tortured souls to rest and gather their thoughts and regain strength.
Come now, Come by our side
A place, where you can hide
We are the sunshine, rest your soul here and you'll find
We are the energy, we give the world to thee
Hold up your heart now, we will ease the pain from your brow ...
(Moment of Peace) Gregorian: Masters of Chant Chapter II
This is especially for Vera xxxx
It is one photo, with added layers and textures.

Its funny, I never thought of this one as being that scary, but alot of people seem to think it is. Hehe. I'm glad you get such a reaction from my work! Yeah, Lara was very kind to me, I'm still overwhelmed! And thankyou for taking the time to stop by

This reminds me so much of the movie, The Village. I love the colours and the eerie glow surrounding the model. Great work!

Oh, I'm so very glad that it reminds you of The Village. So many of my pieces have been inspired by that movie and by the idea. Thankyou so much for both the wonderful comment and the favourite!

That is supremely bizarre. It has such an eeire feel, great colors... I especially like the two hooded ones--they are like some weird creatures, not even human.

oh, mighty strange, it seems I missed this great work of yours. Or I wasn't watching you back then... Lucky me your feature this. I think everything has been said before, so I can only repeat ... The atmosphere you've created here is so pleasant and heart warming, but on the other hand combined with that strange creepiness.

I did this quite a while ago. Doesn't really matter if you missed it, depends if you like it now when you see it. Thankyou for commenting! I'm glad you like this. I'm also glad that you like the feel to it, although I wasn't trying to creep people out with this one ... Hehe thanks!

An interesting manipulation. The colour choice you've gone with works well and I really dig the enclosed feel of the border as it encroaches on the scene. The central figures look like druids and the surreal lighting suits that nicely. Pretty cool and nicely handled. Nice effort.

Wow, first thing I thought of when I saw this was The Village. The black cropped edges really add a lot to this piece and I love the orangy colour of it. Magnificent! Great job!!

WHOA!!!!!!!!!! I love this one... absolutely beautiful!!! the colours are just soooo soft and 'comfortable'... having never felt the need to watch "The Village" - i must use my own imagination when exploring this image, im my mind it seems almost representative of the dawn of a new world... the colours are literally magical, the clarity of the image and the detail is incredible, a very well taken photograph, and an absolutely beautiful manipulation!!!! MUST fave!!! and as for the hooded figures (specifically the one in the fore-ground) the red velvetish cloak goes perfectly with the surrounding image, how the hell did you get the cloak to sit so damned perfectly? all the creases are in exactly the right place to make the image flow brilliantly! how how HOW!!!! and i also love how both figures seem to be twisting round... as if they were walking slowly through the forest towards the camera when suddenly this great pure light exploded accross the surface of the world and cought their attention...
Beautiful!

WOW .... Like, Best comment anyones EVER given me, and it had to be you. Thankyou so much, Ben!!!!
I worked very hard on the colours, I wanted them vibrant but not too contrasting ... I overlayed the cloaked figures to keep them red, otherwise they would have turned a golden colour. The cloaks weren't hard to fit, all we had to do was hold them tighly and it just seemed to work. And you ask how ... I'm not entirely sure, it just happened.
Yeah and I love your interpretation of this, its beautiful and I see that now when I look at it. Thanks for the beautiful comment, it means the world to me
