This was taken at Ta Prohm Temple, where Tomb Rider movie's been made.The Temple is so awesome and wondering, how can they built such a great temple at that ancient time.

This is absolutely stunning. The lighting as it flows through the trees and open roof. The look on the young monks face as he looks up to it. I love the contrast in the stone and moss as well. This trully is perfection in it's finest.

This really looks like a photomanip. The sun rays look fake, the monk and a number of the architectural elements look like cut-outs... You sure you didn't post this to the wrong category?

Congratulations on the DD, it is well deserved. This is a wonderful pic. Did the monk pose for you or was he already there, praying, when you took the photo. I don't think we give our ancestors enough credit for how good they were at building and how advanced they were. We think we are so clever but they did a lot more without technology and machinery.

Yeah, angkor wat & temples around it are so great. The detail, the design & usually they build towers or other ornament base on number 9. Like in angkor, if I'm not mistaken there are 54 towers, 216 faces on the towers that if you total them it will be number 9

People back then didn't have silly distractions like TV, so plenty of time to do something useful like building great temples.
