Death Comes KnockingLife is something given to all of us
But the arrival of death is a thing you can trust
No one knows the length of ones life
Or whether it’ll be happy or full of strife
Whether on lives long or short
Is that you can not retort
The Grim Reaper knocks when your time has come
And when he arrives, your life is done
But the thing that disturbs me
The most in this life are people who waste it or take it away
The rapists, murderers, child molesters, and drug dealers
The ones that cheapen life, or take it away
I have killed many of them
A gift like life is wasted on the urchins
Who spend it making others hurt
Look me in the face now, and guess what you’ll see
I’ve become death, and death’s become me

In all actuality, I wasn't thinking of Death Note when I wrote this. But, since you pointed that out I do see the similarities. Why I didn't see it while I was writing it I don't know. I was just thinking of how I was fed up with people who waste their lives making others miserable or taking others who deserve to lives life away. I was actually thinking of Nny when I wrote it. In fact I even wrote a poem from Nny's point of view.

i think that maybe thats why the concept of death note may have stemmed from. i bet the creator of death note read Nny too.
