This is a painting (in watercolor) of our favorite Hudson Hornet, Doc Hudson! It seems he is coaching here
Dear scanner, why do you insist on upping the saturation of all my yellows... I hope the soil isn't too blinding. In reality this has a wee bit of yellow... but my scanner loves yellows and brought all of them out!

Love it! It reminds me of the scene from the first movie where he tells Lightning, during the race when heΒ gets a flat,Β to breathe in, that he'll pull through. NaΓ―ve little Lightning, will he ever learn?

Doc was my favorite character in the first movie, really missed him in Cars 2.

Sweet! Oh that's cool! I do that when I leave too little white. And it allows me to add more character to a painting. I will have to do some realism and combine my techniques!

Oh yes, and funny thing is.. in reality my ground is a tan, soft yellow. I don't know why my scanner is suddenly doing this. It use to grab real colors. I have to turn down saturation now. But yes
