The update makes the picture much more realistic. Especially the disturbed laser beam and the reflection in the window are well done.

Love the lighting, the many tiny details of the room and - naturally - the monster.
The image looks more like a digital painting than a render, and that adds a lot of value to the final effect.
An advice: in my opinion the laser pointer should be more visible. It's an important element that risks to be overlooked.
