Did you ever have a situation that just couldn’t be resolved? You ponder it, study it, worry about it, and try to change it to no avail? That was Becky’s dilemma.

A woman at the gym, Liz, took a seemingly instant dislike to her and, despite all of her efforts to settle whatever issue there was between them in a civilized manner, goaded her at every opportunity for a boxing match. Realizing that there was only one way to end this Becky increased her workout regime, sought advice and training from a recent acquaintance, Katrina MacBeth, and agreed to meet her tormentor in the ring.

Becky had no illusion as to her chances against Liz’s skill, but accepted the fact that this was the only way to meet this challenge and was determined to give as good an account of herself as she could. As she sallied from her corner, a line of poetry brought a wry smile to her lips, “Into the Valley of Death rode the 600…..”
