Description April 2012: This photo was taken at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota.

Me too! They're very interesting conifers. And they grow really straight so they're great for building vertical log cabins (my great grandfather build one).

I'll have to have a look around and see if I can find some in my area (i'm pretty close to Northfield)
Is the cabin still round? Some photos of it would be great!

The only place I've found the trees in Northfield is at St Olaf. Not sure why. Maybe the arb has some. Or the Nerstrand woods (haven't been there yet). And yup, cabin's still standing! Have been there for a couple of years though.
