He made the Series 8 Template. I asked him if he will update with Pendulums and Series 9 Layout and he said No. So I've modified his template to match the Series 9(as you saw on Hazy Flame Phoenix). Then, I asked him permission to distribute my version of his template. And he said YES!

Nice idea but his points are a bit to high for his effect, especially since he has to little restrictions. For his first effect i would rather have it to be him and another fire monster, similar to peryton. Also i would consider to make his second effect a once per duel effect as it is pretty strong and can snowball quite heavy with once per turn. I really like the idea of having something with a bit more utility for Hazy flame but i am afraid that Hydra will be the last card we get for hazy for a long time

His ATK/DEF points are at this value because I created it to be the "Sub-Boss" of Hazy Flame archetype. I agree that its negating effect must be similar to Peryton's effect. I will remain with that Once Per Turn condition, because I think that this is a good/alternative way to make Basilitrice stronger. Maybe I should add "You can only control 1 facep-up Hazy Flame Phoenix" condition to balance it.

Indeed that would even it out a bit or perhaps something like "You can only special summon fire monsters" to reduce its usability in other decks or for other xyz then basiltrice.

Wow, espcially great with the coming hazy flame card, "hazy flame hydra"
1.Discard Phoenix
2.Use peryton's eff to special summon two hydras
3.Special summon pheonix
4. overlay 3 for balstrice
5.attach peryton and other card in graveyard
