A big, a very big bug by gridlock`dTo end the "bug series" with a huge dude. This insect was about 15cm long, without counting his antennae.

Insects have always fascinated me (when they're not coming after me!) 15cm is one monster bug though. Wow. Really great shot, love the detail.

ya ever notice how bugs are perfectly engineered! i mean, humans are okay... but a bug like the cockroach is almost beautiful is not for being so ugly!
awesome picture, i love the macro-ness... you can really see the background fade away fast.
it kinda looks too much like a macro shot. i mean that when i first saw the picture i did not think that this was a close up picture of a big bug... but a really really close up picture of a regular bug (like a mosquito or something).
anyways... i love that you said how big it was in the comments because that's just crazy. but if you said nothing i would have had to applaud you for a wonderful macro shot... really, very well done. everything that should be focused is!
