Second entry for the Science contest at [link]My longest emote yet with 490 frames and around 30 seconds of animation. Still looking forward to the rest of the entries.
I've included 7 dates and discoveries made throughout history (in order in animation):
Aug 26 1346 – First cannon used in in France.
Oct 2 1608 – First refractory telescope made by Johannes Lippershey.
May 15 1718 – First machine gun made by James Puckle.
April 15 1726 – Isaac Newton’s apple.
July 1 1858 – Evolution Theory by Darwin.
December 19 1903 – Wright Brothers’ first powered flight.
1905 – Einstein’s work on mass-energy equivalence.
6/9 August 1945 – Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings.

Good apart from the Hiroshima and nagasaki one. It wasn't distinctive. Maybe you should use Robert Oppenhiemer's invention of the atom bomb as thats a discovery (like the others) not an application as Hiroshima was.

I think you're citing his publication of General Relativity or one of his later works, but the E=mc2 was published with his works on Special Relativity in 1905. I'd appreciate it if you could change that in the deviation description; I don't know what source you're referring to, but 1905 was Einstein's key year in history.

December 19 1903 – Wright Brothers’ first powered flight.
I find it very funny that people still think that they were the first men to ever fly... they just glided, Santos Dumont was the real first men to ever fly, he made the very first motorized airplane.
No offense of course, and this is a pretty much awesome animation.

Not to nitpick, but there is some distinction between science and engineering; though a very fuzzy line, the Wright brothers, cannons, and guns are all definitely engineering. Nuclear bombs are one of those fuzzy ones. Telescopes are most often associated with engineering, but the scientific description of refraction didn't come until after the invention, so it is also the result of engineering. Gravitation, evolution, and relativity are all firmly in the realm of science though.

I had that thought about a couple of the scenes, but I found it hard to find scientific events that I could make into effective emotes. I tried to keep them all at least connected to science (at least I think they all link back)

Science is supposed to be positive, I don't think "first cannon" and "bombing" are great discoveries, but shameful things... Anyway it's a great animation

Science isn't always positive, depends on how you view cannons and nuclear arms etc. The scenes I have are just the ones that had workable ideas.

Maybe so, but don't forget that those opened the door for other, more peaceful discoveries. Nuclear power plants, for instance.
