Chapter 15: Hunter Becomes the HuntedBulat was instantly rushed by Kaku, who sent his metal fist in an uppercut motion. Bulat raised his staff in a horizontal way to block the heavy hit as he used his Imperial Arms to generate wind and deflect the hit. After parrying Kaku's fist to his side, Bulat reared into the muscular man and rammed one end of Boreas against him, forcing him back. Kaku gripped the ground as he skidded against it, holding the side that was hit by it. He didn't even see Bulat coming as said assassin jumped in at him, swinging his staff down. "You've gotten rusty, Kaku!" He yelled, swinging the staff down on him.

Kaku grunted before jumping back away from the staff. It hit the ground with enough force to cause it to break beneath him. Kaku stood straight up again as he glared at Bulat. "Not to bad, big guy. You had me worried there for a minute. I honestly thought you were about to kill me hahaha!" He laughed, continuing to be sarcastic with Bulat. "Don't get smart with me. I'll wipe that smug smirk right off that face of yours in no time." He said with a confident grin of his own. "Even without an Imperial Arms, this guy is incredible and he's giving bro a hard time. Man what if the rest of the Jeagers were here too. That wouldn't go well." Tatsumi thought as he watched the battle. "Tatsumi!" Bulat yelled to him. "Keep taking out those goons of his. I'll handle Kaku no problem." Tatsumi nodded as he went off with Sheele and Mine to help them fight. "So it's just us now." Kaku said with a grin. "That it is." Bulat replied before rushing back in against him to continue their battle.

"Hrrrraaah!" Austin yelled as he swung his sword in a downward slash at Tobi who easily dodged it. Drawing two guillotine blades and slashed them at him to counter Austin, who jumped back to dodge and was replaced with Akame who slashed at them with Murasame, although unable to cut at him directly due to him using them to block. Austin watched closely at their battle, watching for an opening. "He's unable to feel pain which causes him to be more aggressive in battle than a normal person would. That could be made to my advantage." He thought as he drew his saw blade from his metal hand.

As Tobi zeroed in on Akame and attempted to deal his kill blow, Austin leaped in above him and swung his saw blade on her right shoulder, cutting through Tobi's right arm as it fell off. Austin grinned as Tobi grunted with anger. However, it was far from over. Austin landed and attempted to charge Tobi, but he only turned around and pushed a gun out of his wound and fired it at Austin with a loud bang. The bullet hit Austin in the side, stopping him as he fell to one knee, coughing. "ACH!" He grunted. "Austin!" Akame yelled to him. Austin could barely move with the pain he felt in his side. His metal hand covered them wound, attempting to stop the bleeding. He looked up and saw Tobi pointing the gun at his face. "Say goodbye." He said before attempting to shoot again. However, Akame came in and slashed at him more, interrupting his concentration. "Tch! Outta my way!" He yelled.

Austin quickly intervened and switched to his crossbow. It fired a rope bolt that stabbed into his left arm and he used to pull it away, allowing Akame to move in and deal the killing blow. "You're done!" She yelled before dealing the fatal blow and cutting his head clean off. Austin released the bolt and went back to panting as he stood back up, still wounded from the gun shot. "Austin, are you alright?" Akame asked as she supported her friend to his right. "I'll live. His shot was off and he didn't hit anything vital. I should be fine." He replied as he rested himself against her. Just then, another goon surprised them from behind and attempted to kill them, however, Lubbock's string wrapped around his neck and then a spear made of that string pierced through his chest, killing the soldier. "Glad I managed to save you in time." He said, rushing to their help.

"Austin's wounded. We need to treat him as soon as we can." Akame told him, concerned for her friend. "Well we don't have that kind of time. We have more soldiers incoming." Lubbock replied, looking out the window. Seeing them as well, Austin said, "Look I'll be fine. Lubbock, if you can spare some string and wrap it around my wound, that's all it'll take." Lubbock nodded and did so, wrapping some of his string around Austin, just enough to cover his wound. "Alright. Let's get in gear!" Austin said as he started heading for the doorway. He was clearly still hurt, but wasn't letting it stop him. "Well someone's chipper tonight." Lubbock said as he and Akame followed.

Back outside, Bulat swung his staff so hard, sending vast amounts of wind towards Kaku, who jumped to avoid the incoming attack. He opened his mouth and fired another laser beam attack at Bulat, but the man managed to dodge it quickly and send more gusts of wind to hit the empowered man. Kaku was knocked back, but skidded across the land and grinned with a vicious grin. "Ohoho! You've gotten better since the last time I saw you. But it won't be enough!" Kaku yelled before slamming his fists down on the ground, causing it to crackle and break beneath their feet. It knocked Bulat off his feet. "Oh crap!" He yelled to himself as he stumbled back and Kaku went in for the kill blow. "Say your prayers, bro!" He yelled in a mocking tone.

However, before he could deliver that blow, Tatsumi jumped in and grabbed Kaku, tackling him to the ground. "I don't think so!" He yelled as he did so. "Get the hell off me!" Kaku yelled back, knocking Tatsumi off of him. He then grabbed the young man by his ankle and swung him around, throwing him against a tree. As Kaku was getting ready to engage Tatsumi, a vast amounts of wind was gathering to Bulat's staff. "Sorry, Kaku. But it's just you and me now. Time to end this game." Bulat said to him. "Oh? That so? Well then let's see what you got, big man?" As the wind finished gathering into Boreas, Kaku charged Bulat, unsheathing his very large sword to kill him. "Boreas Halberd!" Bulat yelled as some of the wind he gathered solidified in the form of a curved axe blade on the staff. Swinging it around faster than Kaku could react, Bulat managed to cut the man in two, killing him. "That ends this fight. For good." Bulat said before the two halves of Kaku landed to the ground.

Tatsumi looked in awe as Bulat finished the fight. "Bro's gotten so strong with that new Imperial Arms of his. I think he's even more powerful with it than he was with Incursio." Tatsumi thought. "Tatsumi." Bulat yelled to his partner, getting his attention. "You doing alright?" Tatsumi then answered as he stood up, "Yeah. I'll be fine. I'm still good for more action." After saying that, the two girls returned to them, with Sheele asking, "Are either of you injured? I think we cleared out the last of them." Tatsumi then answered, "We're fine, Sheele. But I think we should go and regroup with the others now. See if they're okay." Mine had a troubled look on her face, however. "I saw Austin inside. He sent me and Sheele out here. Last I saw, he was going to help Akame and Lubbock." She stated. "Okay. But what about Leone?" Tatsumi asked.

Just then, one last soldier, covered in bruises came flying through a bush and hit his back against a rock. After him, Leone came flying out with a wild look on her face. "Thought you could get away, buddy?!" She yelled as she landed and delivered a powerful punch that broke his skull and cracked the rock behind him. "Not gonna happen. And no way I'll be satisfied until I find the asshole that surprised me." She said, dusting off her paws." Tatsumi then turned to her and yelled, "Sis?!", catching Leone's attention. "Oh hey. Glad you guys are still standing." She said with her usual pumped attitude. "We're doing just fine. Where the hell were you though? You had us worried." Bulat questioned her. "Ah one of these guys just surprised me is all. Didn't do that much damage though. My Lionel managed to regenerate my wounds easily." She said, pumping her fists and showing her muscles. "Well that just leaves Akame, Lubbock, and the softie and we're all good." Mine added.

But then a large shadow covered them, much to the group's surprise. Bulat looked up to see what it was. "Well I'll be damned." He said. "What is it, bro?" Tatsumi asked, turning to see what Bulat was looking at. To his surprise, it was a large creature, looking like a mantaray, flying through the sky. "What's that thing up there?" Tatsumi asked, worried for more enemies. Pulling out her scouter-like device, Mine looked at the creature and saw Najenda with two cloaked figures next to her on the creature's back. "It's the boss!" She yelled out. "Awesome! Perfect timing!" Tatsumi proclaimed. But then he added, "But wait...why does she get to ride a giant fish? I wanna ride a fish." Mine only looked at him confused and said, "I don't really know how to respond to that."

"Tatsumi!" Akame yelled out to him with Austin leaning against her. And Lubbock right behind her. "Akame? Oh great. You're alright." Tatsumi said as the others looked in their direction. "So I guess we're all here. Thank God." Austin said as he continued leaning on Akame in his pain. "Oh no. Austin, are you alright?" Sheele asked him, noticing his injury. "I'll live. Just a gun shot. Fighting's just gonna be a little difficult, but I'll manage." He explained with a smirk. Just then, Leone pulled him form Akame and hugged his face into her breasts. "Awww poor Austin got a boo-boo~? Want me to kiss it and make if feel better~?" She playfully asked. Austin wanted to be mad, but he was too use to this. He then calmly said, "Not the time, Leone. Still got assholes attacking us."

Speaking of the devil, more of Dr. Stylish's soldiers attacked them, surrounding the group of assassins and preparing to go in for the kill. "Just how many of these guys are there?" Bulat asked with a pissed expression, readying his staff for combat as everyone else started putting up their defesnes. Austin looked around as everyone stood ready to continue the fight. "Eh....what the hell?!" He thought to himself. His sword turned to lightning and vanished. Electricity began sparking through his whole body as he stood tall and eager for battle. "I ain't letting a gun shot keep me down!" But right after saying that, he felt himself start to become paralyzed and fell to his knees. "Austin!" Akame yelled to him as said boy fell to his knee and found himself unable to move. "Oh fuck....I forgot about that..." He thought, referring to the parasitic poison Stylish released upon them. Soon everyone else but Tatsumi started falling to their knees. "Hey guys?! What's happening? What's going on?!" He yelled fearfully with everyone in their crippled states. It got worse as the soldiers started closing in. Austin, however, had a feeling of what was about to happen. And it did...

Before the troops could go for the killing blow, a mysterious hooded man fell from the sky, stopping the enhanced soldiers in their tracks. "Aaaaaand...here comes this show off." Austin said to himself with a chuckle while coughing a little. The hooded figure threw off his cloak and raised his weapon, the Wolf Fang Mace, and activated it's spinning blades, slamming it through the soldiers, slaughtering them by the tens at least. One attempted to attack him from behind, but he simply raised his fist up and hit it against his, breaking his skull with impressive amounts of strength. Austin was in awe of his ability. Despite originally have such a bitter hatred for Night Raid, he really like Susanoo. Apart from his fighting ability...

"H-hey what are you doing?" Mine asked as Susanoo approached her and reached no out to fix her messed up hair. "All better." He simply said with a seemingly expressionless face.

But his silly little "neat freak" thing. "Hehehe." Austin chuckled to himself as he found himself with the ability to stand up again. "Guessing that's an ally." Sheele suggested, although her guard remained up. "Friend or foe, I'm not questioning him until after we've dealt with these maniacs." Austin said, easily trusting the "unknown" helper. "Well I certainly don't have a problem with him long as he can keep fighting like that." Bulat added with a grin, flashing that toothy grin. Obviously, he was attracted to the guy. Sadly for him, Susanoo only looked at him with a blank stare, not showing much concern. Bulat looked a little disappointed and Austin came in, elbowing him gently in the side and said, "Bro, cheating on Tatsumi are you? For shame.", in a very joking way, causing Bulat to chuckle a little.

The sillyness was cut short when Najenda yelled down to him from atop her flying beast. "Susanoo, head to the cliff in that direction! That's where the enemy commander is!" She yelled to him. "Understood." He replied simply before running off in that direction. Austin grinned himself and said, "Oh hell no! I am not just gonna sit on my ass and wait for him to clean up this mess!" He said before forcing himself up and chasing afterwards Susanoo.

Dr. Stylish and his remaining soldiers began freaking out now. Having been found out by Najenda and with no one else to fight them off, Stylish only had one suggestion. "Run away!" He yelled to his soldiers as they began their futile retreat. However Susanoo landed in front of them, stopping them in their path. He gave them a rather frightening looking glare that stopped them cold. Before the enemy could attempt a retreat backwards, Austin appeared behind them with a flash of lightening. "Excuse me, but you weren't planning on leaving, were you? Not after your lovely attack, that is." Austin asked with a grin of his own. Stylish, however, stopped and looked in surprise at Austin. "Lightning? So he's Raiden's user?" He thought. "Don't worry master! We ar you noble shields and no harm shall come to you!" One of his flamboyant soldiers yelled as all three jumped up, ready to protect him. Stylish on grit his teeth in frustration. "Fools. You guys are build more for recon, not hand-to-hand combat. You don't stand a chance against these guys." Stylish thought while thinking over all his options. Finally, he had no choice but to give in to his ultimate trump card.

Quickly drawing a syring from from his lab coat, Stylish yelled out, "Guess I'll have to use my other trump card!" With that, his body began to grow and expand in a completely abnormal way. "Danger beast blood!" He yelled out in his confidence. "I have successfully merged myself with a danger beast. So I may personally kick your ass!" He added in a flamboyant way.

Austin found himself giggling to himself. The way he said that was rather funny.

"He is gorgeous!" The long nosed soldier said. "Very impressive master." The other one with enhanced eyes added. Their compiments and loyalty went to waste, however, as Stylish grabbed them in his giant, beefy arms and said, "Now I think it's time for some nutrients!" A giant mouth appeared on his giant body's belly as it devoured the two in his hands. The last solider with the enhanced ears attempted to escape, but failed as she was grabbed and devoured. Austin looked in horror as was only able to watch the mad scientist killed his own men. "What the hell is wrong with you?! They were your own people! What kind of fucked up bastard murder's his own?!" Austin screamed at him in rage.

Stylish seemed displeased with the statement as he continued to grow and evolve even stronger. "Oh please! Like you little killers have any right to criticize me. Besides, that was their duty. It just costed their lives. Sucks, but true." He said to Austin with a sigh. Austin grit his teeth in anger as his sword began to spark with lightning. But Stylish only grinned down at the Night Raid assassin and said, "Since your so touchie about me eating my own soldiers, how about I change that to eating you?!" He asked with an evil laugh.

"Not an improvement!" Austin quickly said before he attempted to dodge the giant hand reaching for him, but it was surirongly really fast, too fast for him. "Oh crap!" Austin was nearly caught until he felt a different force take him away. When he opened his eyes, he saw himself in the hands of Susanoo. The horned man carried Austin away a few feet from the giant Dr. Stylish as Austin said with a sigh of relief. "Uh thanks bud. I owe you one." He said.

Stylish simply laughed himself silly as he gloated on his growing power. "Oh with a body like this, wiping out you Night Raid punks will be easier than I can imagine!" He yelled. Susanoo narrowed his eyes at the giant target, but then looked back at Austin and plainly asked, "Can you fight?" Austin looked back at him and nodded. "Always." He replied. Susanoo placed the young man down as he raised his sword, which turned to lightning and went into Austin's body.

The two rushed at the danger beast of a man, resulting in Stylish swinging his right arm down at them, missing by inches as Susanoo rammed his mace against the metal arm, doing nothing, however. The man grunted and simply said, "Interesting." Stylish raised his other arm and attempted to swat at Susanoo like a fly, but Austin came in and with lightning imbued in his right fist, he shot bolts of lightning from it, shocking the large hand. "Ach! What a shock!" Stylish yelled.

Taking his chance, Austin used his enhanced abilities from the lightning to jump up and reach his hand and climbed up along it before running up his forearm. Stylish shifted his focus on Austin as he ran up the large body. Austin then raised his his left arm, activated his crossbow, and fired a rope bolt that landed in his chest and using it, Austin swung from the left arm to right arm. As he came in for the landing, he equipped his sword to stab into the metal of Stylish's beast arm and send thousands of volts through it to give him an even greater shock. "AAAARGH! You little bastard!" Stylish yelled as he raised up his left and to swat at Austin. Austin drew his sword from the arm and brought it back into his body as he jumped off really quickly as the large hand came in for the slap. Using the crossbow again, he fired another rope bolt to swing himself up high so he can see Stylish's main body, controlling the beast. Austin attempted to shoot lighting from his right arm to strike the doctor, but Stylish quickly grabbed Austin in his right arm and stopped that attack. "Not your day, bucko!" Stylish yelled.

Just then, before Stylish could crush Austin to death, a flash of light came out of nowhere and collided against his body, disorienting the doctor. "What?!" He yelled, before seeing Mine on the flying sting ray-like creature as she shot from her Pumpkin. "Damn you, pests!" He yelled before another blast came from her gun, knocking him down. The attck released Austin from his grasp. Austin found his chance to help. Seeing Tatsumi running towards Stylish with Akame on his back, Austin formed his sword again in a raised position. As Austin fell, he swung to generate power and with enough lightning, he swung it down upon landing, cutting off the metal arm with relative ease. "Dammit!" Stylish yelled.

Then it was all over. Tatsumi with Akame ran up Stylish's body with Susanoo blocking his remaining left hand. "I'm not done yet!" He yelled as many metalic extensions came from his main body, to which, Tatsumi simply tossed Akame at Stylish and in a flash, she swiped her sword across his body, killing him with her lethal venom. "No...." He said in his fearful shock. "I'm not done. I have so many....people to experiment on." With that, he breathed his last and fell down.

Austin met up with Tatsumi and Akame as Akame said, "You were lucky to die with all your parts intact. Don't take something like that for granted." That caused Austin to sigh to himself. "He has more important things to worry about now than the state of his physical body, Akame." He said with a grim tone, causing Akame to turn to him. "But it's a nice gesture of you, though." He added before turning and walking off, raising his sword and sheathing it again.
