Well research isn't needed when you know the answer. Alan IS a boy's name, I was just curious as to why a female character would be called Alan.
And yes, I would usually do a little 'research' before asking 'questions', but I didn't feel like digging through the commissioners gallery just to find out what was up with the name.
But I know now that Alan is the Surname. Even though I'm sure Alan is not a surname, but I'd rather not get into that.

xD Reasearch as in go to the artists profile look up info about the character. Its a girl who is boyish and has a girlname but likes to be called alan. Chill pill. Girls can have boynames and vice versa.

I assure you, I don't need a chill pill, I'm not upset, sorry if I appear that way. I don't mean any harm. I know girls can have boys names and boys can have girls names, but It's not common so I was just a little curious.

I only asked "Isn't Alan a boy's name?". I didn't mean to start an argument or anything...
