That is my style and I dont think you have seen a deadly thin horse/pony if you think this is what they look like.
There is a diffrence in drawing a thin horse and overdoing a horses features. They have very thin longΒ legs for their bodyshape in real life, and cartoony art tends to overdo features.

Still, I think there's something to be said about the fact that it's the first thing I noticed when I looked at it.
I mean, perhaps it's just because I'm so used to the show's art-style, which revolves around thicker shapes... but this ended up being somewhat surprising upon first glance.
Anyway, I do really like the colors, and the shading, and the boldness of the lines.

Yeah many people tend to not enjoy artists versions of the show and want them to look like they do in the show xD it is no fun drawing in the shows's style that much.
