Description
My Medauroidea extradentata, stick bug is laying eggs now. I saw 3 had already hatched so I let them be there with mommy while getting rid of the other eggs. Not planning on getting 10,000 stick bugs :'D Pinne usually sits on my screen while I animate.TINY BASTARD.

xD yeah I remember finding those tiny sticks all over the house after I forgot to go out with the trash haha, this is why its important to crush the eggs before throwing them out

Some species can, but a lot of them do need males the old fashioned way. Even in some species where males exist they can still reproduce without them (parthenogenetically), although you usually dont get as healthy nymphs or as many as normal reproduction.

no x3 they make copies of themselves

scythemantis In reply to painted-flamingo [2013-02-13 19:49:15 +0000 UTC]
Well, they need a male to have "true" offspring, and produce both males and females. Until they mate, they just make clones of themselves!

dumb question, but I'm assuming only the females can make clones?

scythemantis In reply to painted-flamingo [2013-02-13 20:40:41 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, the same thing happens with aphids and a few other insects. If they kept cloning forever, they would die of genetic illness and weak immunity (much like inbreeding) but as long as one clone finds a male, they make a "proper" new generation!

No, I think a skinned cat that has returned from the world of the dead to haunt your fridge with its meowing is the true horror.

xD not much of a gamer, but I did watch someone play it. Wasnt scared. I grew up with xfiles, which isnt that scary, but when I was 6 or 7 I guess it was scary. Now I dont find anything scary when it comes to games or movies.

Try playing Silent Hill 1, 2, 3, 4 or Downpour ALONE AT NIGHT.
Not sure if "with pets" counts as not alone.

My brother had stick stick bugs many years ago. When they died we weren't sure if they just stood still or was dead at first O_o
He didn't have them for long, I think he gave them wrong plants.

D8 aws, some plants have poision on them so always let them be untouched by the insects for a week before feeding

He was supposed to feed them with a plant that had to varieties: one safe and one poisonous. He couldn't tell them apart and got the wrong one
