Description My Medauroidea extradentata, stick bug is laying eggs now. I saw 3 had already hatched so I let them be there with mommy while getting rid of the other eggs. Not planning on getting 10,000 stick bugs :'D Pinne usually sits on my screen while I animate.

TINY BASTARD.

They're animals too though! With brains, and some feelings (they're too tiny to think very hard, as far as we know, but even fruit flies get "sad")...so are jellyfish and worms and starfish, and the very first animals were sponges! I had a saltwater tank with a big orange sponge in it once. It didn't do much but I named it anyway.

I babble a lot.

It's just fine! And yes I do know they have feelings.. Even though I fear them I do know that they're living things, It's not like I enjoy killing them or anything. I just get my grandmother to get them outside ( Yes I live with my grandmother ). She doesn't fear them like I do. And excuse me for my bad english, my main language is spanish.

Then they were still young if they didng lay eggs. What did you feed them?

LadySarrow In reply to griffsnuff [2013-02-13 20:44:17 +0000 UTC]

We gave them trimmings off of our blackberry bush. We didn't use pesticides on them, and I kept the cage clean One of them lost all but one of its legs at once and never grew them back. We made sure it always had a leaf in front of it since it couldn't move around but it died. The other one's abdomen split open.

hmm thats weird D8. I do remember them biting eachothers limbs of if they could when I had a lot of adult ones. maybe it was to warm or humid? No idea how the abdomen could split though o.o

lol, my mom told me that she had two stick bugs when she was a kid and one day aparently one of them ate the other and I think that one died shortly after. anyway they threw the tank remains in a small paper bin and the next day they had little stick bugs everywhere! I cant help but laugh at that story.
