Ahhh, so pretty. I stopped at a store today with tons of beautiful stones from all over the world. Augh, I had to limit myself to $10 and came away with 4 small stones:
Garnet (my birthstone)
Tiger Eye Iron
Rainbow Aura Quartz thingy (OMG so pretty I couldn't handle it)
and a small slab of emerald.
I am a sucker for stripey rocks so the Tiger Eye Iron one was a must, and the stripes in the emerald slab are pretty too.
But gosh, they had a sale on amethyst, so much! They had so many different geodes, and pretty unpolished rocks as well as the polished ones. And huge rocks too! The gypsum rose (that flakey one in the bottom right corner) pieces they had were gorgeous, and they had some from around this area where I live, which are pretty rare for here. Lots of fossils and jewelry too. Many labradorite rocks too, they are really pretty when you turn them in the light!

8D being a fan of geology and how these gems originated, they make me happy, just like chakra are supposta work xD if im happy I feel healthy so its the same thing haha.

I never used to care about the chakra part of stones, but as I delved more into the world of stones I came to believe that they really are there. I have a really strange habit of only wanting to collect third eye and crown chakra stones at times. It's great to know I'm not alone.

I have loved rocks since I was a kid. I never stop collecting them! These are so pretty. Makes me want to get mine out. ^ ^

I have an obsession with them too but my collection isn't very big because there is no where around where I live to buy them

I to collect pretty stones, where my house is it has many geode desposites, so you can pretty much go down to the stream in my back yard and scoop up hand fulls of pretty purple and blue crystals and rocks.
The prices for them are ridiculous though, $7.00 for one small stone? seriously? I have thousands in my backyard XD
I remember when I was a kid, there were these gumball machines with gems/colorful stones for only a quarter or two...you could get like, 5 in one turn, it was awesome!
But i always felt bad just going into the store(family run chinese antique store) for just the pretty rock machine, So i would make my mom buy me either a turtle or lucky cat mini statues
When it closed the owner gave me the rest of the stones in the machine. Best day of my life.

not really, this company is trying to build on the creek, but because of some endangered owls and flowers they cant, but we have been getting people trying to steal the rocks, which would be fine if they didn't steal them from our part of the stream which is a slower flow of water and more crystals...
But a shot gun does the trick nicely, the people we always catch are almost always in camo clothing, so if we 'aciddently' shoot one or two, it wouldn't be our fault

I just went to the Grand Canyon and Arizona and New Mexico on a family trip, and there are SO MANY ROCKS THERE. Wow. xD Like, hand-carved by the native pueblo there and such.
