Okay, I wasn't going to say anything on this, but I just hate seeing all this turn out so badly, when just a reasonable explanation is needed. Listen hun, while I may not know you, I saw that poll on your page about blocking the other person about not wanting to fight, but you could have simply said 'I don't want to argue this anymore' and you did not have to reply. You were never forced to reply. Blocking them just comes off as a childish, tbh. And it doesn't help them understand you weren't intentionally being rude, it just kind of makes you seem like more of a jerk. Which I don't think you are, but you must think about this from the mindset of someone else. You didn't have to reply at the beginning of this. But then that would contradict what I'm about to say. deviantArt is a GIANT PUBLIC FORUM. The things you say, they're there for everyone to see. And considering that, Griff has so many watchers, there's a lot of people going to see it. So the likelihood of someone not agreeing with you is increased tenfold. Then again, you can say what you want too. Unfortunately this is the internet, a place where... accepting everyone else's opinions is... rather rare. It's understandable that not everyone is going to be able to afford these adoptables. But, not to you, but making a remark that 'they're expensive' is quite rude. As an artist puts a lot of work into what they do. $6 - $10 (Approx.) is relatively cheap in 'professional' terms. So, when you made a remark to the person talking to the one that initially made said remark, it seemed like you were sticking up for that opinion. That they were 'too expensive' when you were just saying that not everyone had the money for it. But, that's a given. Of course not every single person on dA just has that many points or cash just sitting about ready to slap down on something. Especially since the majority is probably young teens without jobs or the ability to buy things online. I'm sad to see how much a simple opinion can blow up like this, but it is the way the internet works sadly. I say this I don't know how many times, and heck I have a hard time following my own advice, but in this tough world of the internet, thinking before you post can save you loads of trouble.
