Got an idea from last pictures comments to make an even more dragonair looking dragonite : D I like this a lot more! Kind of koreandragon inspired! AND wanted to keep dragonairs epic orbs this timeOld version

As to how the heck we went from the more majestic and serpantine Dragtini and Dragonair, to the Derpy Puff-the Magic Dragon Gen 1 Psuedo now is beyond me.
It's one of the more questionable evo's.

My guess is that they got the idea from tadpoles, they change colors and grow limbs, but instead of a frog they brought the idea to a dragon.Β

This is so awesome! I can see this as more of a fitting evolution than the original Dragonite as it retains Dragonair's elegant appearance as well as continues the idea of an east Asian dragon.

Ooh, very nice! It always bugged me how thematically different Dragonite was to its pre-evos, haha... but I really feel like you've done the line justice here. :3

Final evolutions will always go through a drastic change from its pre-evolutions, but you can still tell what Pokemon they've evolved from. Let's use the starters, for example. Fennekin and Tepig changed from quadrupeds to bipeds along with Mudkip, Bayleef and Grovyle lost their head leaves, Froakie and Frogadier lost their bubble scarfs, Oshawott changed into a badass, quadruped samurai sea lion, Bulbasaur's bulb became a giant flower, etc. Those changes are a unique central part of their design. ^^
I've always found that very unique about Pokemon. I like that their final evolutions don't look like over-designed, bigger versions of their pre-evolutions. As much as I like Fakemon, I don't expect them to be canon to the series for they're way too over-designed and/or overpowered and that the final evolution hasn't went through a drastic change from their pre-evolutions. That's why I like Dragonite's original design more than the fan-made ones. It's simple yet creative.

This would be a neat alternative evolution for Dragonair, though I still like the original Dragonite., Good job, nonetheless, I like the way you've expanded upon the original dragonair design.
