Got an idea from last pictures comments to make an even more dragonair looking dragonite : D I like this a lot more! Kind of koreandragon inspired! AND wanted to keep dragonairs epic orbs this timeOld version

I love dewott and it's always female when i have one so it's odd to have a female with a mustache, maybe a female counterpart?

Look at the dogbreed schnauzer, Mustaches arent always just a male trait, its sometimes in an animal breed, which can also happen in pokemon

WHY DOES DRAGONITE NOT LOOK LIKE THIS?

Dragonite is based on a Japanese/Chinese myth/story "Gaurdian of the Sea" where Dragonite is said to resemble some sort of fairy dragon(explains why its so cute/derpy looking). Dragonair is a premature dragon(hence why it can't learn any Flying type moves until it evolves).

The final evolution will always go through a more drastic change from their pre-evolutions. I find that really creative and unique about Pokemon. Like the starters, for example:
-Fennekin and Tepig came from quadrupeds to bipeds.
-Mudkip came from a quadruped to a biped back to a quadruped.
-Bayleef and Grovyle lost their head leaves.
-Snivy and Servine's "arms" became leaves.
-Frogadier lost its bubble scarf and became a tongue scarf.
-Oshawott came from being a goofy looking otter to a badass samurai sea lion.
-Bulbasaur's bulb became a giant flower.Β
-Turtwig's twig on its head became a giant tree on its back.
-Charmander grew wings.
-Squirtle changed to a "fluffy turtle" and then grew water cannons.
-Torchic came from being a cute little chic to an epic Kung fu chicken.
-Piplup became an awesome "Neptune penguin".
-Chimchar's flame came from being on its tail to its head.
-Cindaquil's volcano flames came from being on its back to its neck.
-Totodile was a jolly little croc that changed into a cool looking gator.
-Chespin and Quiladin came from being cute little hedgehogs to a badass juggernaught knight.Β
Fakemon artists always tend to make final evolutions look like bigger, over-designed versions of the pre-evolutions. I like Fakemon, but whenever I look at the evolutions, there's no drastic change anywhere that makes them unique.Β

Yes I realise this, but all of the aforementioned pokemon kept the general theme, where as Dragonite is COMPLETELY different from its pre-evolution. Like, it did not even keep the colour theme.

Remoraid evolved into a red octopus and Eggxecute evolved into a walking coconut tree. So it's not just Dragonite that looks completely different from its pre-evolution.Β

The other pokemon like that only have a two stage evolutionary line.

I never understood why dragonite was SO VASTLY DIFFERENT from it's prevos but then I saw a realistic drawing from someone on here (I'd have to dig up the deviation) and suddenly everything made sense. Dratini and Dragonair are the nymph stages of the salamander Dragonite.
It fits where they live and why they look so vastly different and those puny little wings and the fat belly too!

I always like to pretend that Dragonite was more like what Charizard would be if it was a dragon type [boy was I wrong haha] but like, it looks like a freaking Charmander, all rounded corners and orangeΒ and shit, like I feel it's like, they should make it what happens if you raise a Charmander and, idk make it super happy and loved and kind and shite instead of turning into the asshole Charmeleon he turns into a Β more rounded version of him that's red and then evolves into Dragonite idk

I don't even think Dargonite is that derpy looking, I just think it's really cutesy and stuff
TBH like I said it feels more like a kind/sweet version of Charizard like if Charizard wasn't an asshole then he'd turn into Dragonite idk
He looks like what Charmander should've grown up into maybe Charmander and Dragonite have a missing link and whoever the original for Charmeleon/Charizard is, is missing or somethingΒ
It's like that whole Kangaskan = Cubone or Gangar = Clefairy thingΒ
