I love this character and the animation looks so natural! (as natural as a mythological species running on 6 frames can be XD )

It takes me 16 to 20 ish frames to get a smooth run cycle... ;-;
Teach me your waysssss

its hard to explain actuallt but its all about cheating the drawings flow to be drawn so it works as more than one inbetween or something xD

yes just held each drawing for two frames

Aviivix In reply to Stormful [2015-05-29 11:28:57 +0000 UTC]
If it were 24FPS, each cycle would last 0.25 seconds which would look ridiculous. Judging from the time, it looks about 12FPS.

Ooo, this one looks so awesome running. Β Still abosolutely adore this design.
And that's reasonably smooth looking for only being six frames. I can see a few stutters here and there that would be smoothed out further by more frames, but not bad. Very good starting form.
Β Man, the patience that goes into that. Β Thought I had wanted to be an animator....decided half way through college that I didn't have the patience for it. XD Too have to do so many different drawings....just for a few seconds of motion. I later wish I had looked more into learning Flash, as it has some tools that assist with the repetitive parts. I'd learn it on my own, but right now I can't afford the program, nor do I have a computer currently that would be able to run it properly.
