I also am sometimes interested in looking for interesting rocks. Sadly, my parents do not allow me to collect rocks because my (literally autistic) brother might throw them at something breakable like the windows.

I know that feeling, my son is ADHD with possibility of being on the autistic spectrum, he would also be likely to throw rocks at the windows when he is in 'that zone' *hugs you, and your parents and smiles at your brother but doesn't look him in the eyes*
Perhaps you could compromise by having somewhere outside where your brother can't get to, where you could keep any rocks you like?
