my cat does that- and i sometimes splash him... he also sleeps in the sink and i open it a little so it drips on him and he's like what what what the heck is going on and his head twitches XD

LOL, my cat does this at the taps in the bath... When I go to the loo, she follows, then I have to entertain her, and then provide fresh running water! XD
Apparently animals see running water as more fresh, and clean. Its an instinct thing

That's very cute. My cat's that way. He he doesn't get water from the sink or a Dixie cup, he'll just drink from a mud puddle outside! XD

Why my cat would rather drink water, like this, than from a bowl I've just filled from the exact same foucet, is beyond me..I guess he must have found it amusing. I know I did, when he moved further into the stream, as the water hit his cheek, which then placed the stream further out of reach - he would do this till the water ran into his ear, he wouldn't notice anything up until that moment

I used to have a cat that would do that with the bathroom sink. He never turned the water off after he used it thought lol.
