Well I remember the old 80's series that I saw when I was really small and in comparison the new ones were a shoker really. But I only saw the new versions like... a few weeks ago for the first time. Now all the deviations of them seem to make more sense XD

yup! the ponies of previous generations look more chunky like toys, or tall, and their faces look more like plump horses.
these ponies on the other hand look much more stylized, like chibis almost.
