This is adorable! Love what you did with the tail, making it the same color as his hair, and that background really looks real o.o

Very nice! It's pretty easy to tell that you've studied your rocks.

Interesting thought to those who wish to discuss: How does one study such elements without downright tracing them in the first place?

Go find an object in your house, say a plant, or something that is more than a simple shape. Get paper and a pencil, sit down infront of the object and draw what you see.
Thats how xD'
And then you keep sketching it, turn the object so you draw it from a diffrent side, sit down on the floor, stand up and draw it from a diffrent height, and keep doing this and you will get better, do several objects, go outside

Could I sketch the same view over and over on the same object if need be?

If your going to trace it to practice, dont upload it x3

No, no, no, that's not what I meant I meant make the same sketch over and over until it become like it's second nature to me. Repetitiveness and all that; it helped me out with language difficulties growing up.

You can do it for practice yes, but you dont have to upload a copied version. You can try and make your own version out of it with diffrent lighting, diffrent shapes and poses thats how you learn.

That's what I thought And as long if it's a private thing, I won't break any taboo, then, correct?

wow, this is so beautiful! i really like the position of the light source, the colours used, and the placement of the shadows. I think your study went well! The detail is very realistic, but not so realistic which is good <3 last thing, i adore the pose in this image. It really flows!
great work griff :'D
