The aquarium is perfect and I love the whole feel of the setting.
If that were my room I'd have to build the aquarium higher so my cats couldn't jump on the top. lD

I've always dreamed of having a separator tank with exotic fishes in it, like those rich, evil guys in the 007 movies. Lol It's a great design though. The tank's inner light casts the frame's shadow, I think I would have forgotten that detail! Nice job!

Eels are teh awesome. I always wanted one in a tank but they require giant saltwater tanks...and lots of coral and rocks and stuff to hide in. Silly eels. :3
Were you thinking hardwood floors here, or carpet, or tatami...? And the wavy shape on the left side of the picture, it's a mirror yes?
