MLP really failed at making the Sirens.
Adagio Dazzle Aria Blaze and Sonata Dusk were actually hippocampus.Which are horses with the back end of a fish.
The Sirens were actually half woman half bird.

Yes, that is the Sirens of mythology, however, there were many that associated sirens with mermaids. So Hippocampi (horses with fish tails) would almost make sense when it comes to Equestria.Β
