No rain for weeks, and extreme heat wave, I guess I am not the only one who is thristy x'DSeen this female wandering about in my house, this time she was trying to get into the water bowl for my cat and would not give up. So I took drops of water on my finger and pressed it on the wall so they stuck to the wall and she ran right over and started drinking
the cute meter has broke
I think this is in the Clubionidae group (aka Sac spiders)>u
Took a tiny film of it

I had a spider in my room the entire winder, but there were no bugs for it to eat. So every once in a while, I would dip a q-tip in water and just hold it up to the spider. When spring came, I put it outside.
Bugs are friends! ... except for ticks... they're assholes.

AWWWW...... i heard about norway having a horrible heat wave a couple weeks ago jeez it sounds awful >n< i live in a pretty similar climate and i couldnt imagine weather over like 75 degrees for the most part plus it rains every other day or two... i hope it passes soon and you and that poor spider can get some water you deserve

Yep, looks like a yellow sac spider. Are they ever fast and abundant here. We had them crawling in on our ceiling every couple hours. Didn't kill em. Just chucked em back outside (probably only to come back in again LOL)

Aww, so glad a kind human was there to give her a drink~ The other day I found a bug (some kind of beetle, no idea what, hadn't seen one before) on the picnic table and it seemed stunned. I flipped it over onto it's belly and it still seemed really lethargic so I put a few drops of water on the table and pushed him towards it. He drank it up for quite a while and then seemed to be revived and wandered off to continue on his day. XD

That is one adorable spider- I hope you guys get rain soon, it's pretty bad when a little spider risks drowning in a cat dish for a drink.

Actually, not too surprising you didn't think of it. Most life needs water, but not all creatures 'drink'. Some get most of the water they need from their food.

Yeah, I knew about the thing with bees and that feeding them sugar water can revitalize a bee that is looking kind of limp. I knew ants drink water too, and especially love sugar water. But same, I never really thought about it with spiders till I saw this image. Ah, the secret lives of bugs you never seem to see.
