Description
Exitium means destruction in latin.Closeup >> [link] <<
I noticed a lack of recent character painting in my portfolio so I decided to start a new one. My biggest challenge is to avoid overloading the scene with detail, which usually happens in my character work. In this case, the direction changed several times, from a half bio woman bot to an ethereal presence. At some point I decided to kill a LOT of detail and spend time refining her lines and lighting.
Photoshop CS3, 14 hours.

Dear Grimdar,
I wanted to ask if we could make a non-exclusive sub-licensing agreement for this and possibly other pieces of your work. I have designed a card game and the time has come to print beta cards. I am not asking for your original(s) and of course you would be free to use your art in any other way you wish in the future.
You can find the license and details of the royalties at [link]
Finally, until you decide regarding the license, may I have permission to use this piece in the final stages of our alpha testing before the website goes live and printing begins?
Thank you for your time,
Scott Reimers

I think you made the right choice with the details, as they say..."the devils in the details". You struck the right balance and in the end made one hell of a stunning piece. This is really really good!

one of these days, you ought to use some sort of screenshot/film program so that we can watch you paint it from start to finish. God that would be cool

i love how simple and clean this is. Great technique. But the part where the watch overlaps the arm seems odd

The reason I got so fast is because I do these personal pieces at work (which I shouldn't be).

Haha, no, I was making the comment that 14 hours is a lot of time to stare at a computer screen. The work is beautiful. It's hard to look away from her.
