Thanx for stopping by my gallery! This is my one of a kind miniature Steampunk Sewing Machine. A lovely gadget guaranteed to delight any tiny domestic diva. The piece is in 1:12 dollhouse scale, measuring 1 3/8” tall and 1 1/4” wide at the base.
The sewing machine is solid metal, altered with vintage gears and findings. There is a hand crank wheel, rivets about the base, and buttons and toggles all about. A gold filigree top spindle feeds wool thread and there is a lace and leather project in progress. The machine sits atop an ornate silver oval tray. The tech elements contrast with floral designs as Steampunk is a blending of the archaic and elegant. I painted it all in pewter, highlighted with gold, and then aged it with ink.

'Tis beautiful. Even though it's so small, there's still all that detail that I really love about these type of machines
...I've actually got I think 5 antique sewing machines at the moment...
