Major Anatoly Brekhov,Monster Hunter, circa; 1963
In 1963 Major Brekhov officially detailed to the Socialist Republic of Romania as part of a joint military training exercise ProGuard under the Warsaw Pact. The exercise took place near the village of Predeluţ in central Romania. During the operation Major Brekhov was quietly detached to address the matter of several missing children and women from the district.
His investigation determined that a Căpcăun (a dog-face type of ogre of Romanian legend) was responsible. Utilizing a SVT-40 rifle with a bayonet he ended the the last suspected Căpcăun threat reported in eastern Europe since 1942. His official military record stated that he was extended leave from duty during the operation. The reason was listed a sport hunting. the leave slip was not signed by Anatoly Brekhov.
No official records exist concerning Major Brekhov's supernatural exploits, as all those records were sealed at the time and are believed to have been destroyed of by hardline Communist Party officials after the fall of the Soviet Union.
