While Command recognizes that it assigned Doctor Myrra Rhodes (Gorgon) to Project M after her accident, she has been of the opinion that it appeared to have more to do with removing her from the U.S. Army Medical Service than supporting a woman in an active combat position. Lt. Matthew Shrieve (Human) has openly complained that her assignment was just Command’s way of trying to kill all its freaks in one blow. Command has repeatedly reprimanded Lt. Shrieve regarding those statements, with little effect.

As Doctor Rhodes is the Creature Commando with the most extensive level of education, Lt. Shrieve has, in effect, utilized her as his Executive Officer and Second-in-Command. Command has repeatedly reprimanded Lt. Shrieve regarding this matter, reminding him that Doctor Rhodes does not have military standing or rank. These reprimands have also been met with little effect. Lt. Shrieve has responded to Command that he has an insubordinate dick of a Vampire (Sgt. Velcro), an often shy and indecisive Werewolf (Cpl. Griffith) and a non-verbal powerhouse in Frankenstein's Monster (Pvt. "Lucky" Taylor) and a freakishly intelligent female Gorgon assigned to him and that he will utilize his personnel as effectively as possible to carry out all the half-baked missions with insufficient support and intelligence that Command assigns him. And further if Command doesn’t like it, that is Command’s [Expletive Deleted] problem.

It should be noted that Command has twice before removed Lt. Shrieve from Project M and in each instance he was reinstated by Command as no replacement officers would undertake the team assignment.

Currently Project M has been dispatched to terminate a meeting of German High Command Officers in France in preparation for Operation Overlord. Regrettably, OSS reported that the location had been strengthened with additional special security units after the Project M team was deployed. Due to the current Ultra Level Security Protocols, this information could not be forwarded to the team. As the situation appears untenable and the prospects for the Project M team’s success is unlikely, it has necessitated that Command reassign the scheduled Extraction Unit.
