Now, let me start off by saying these two are, perhaps, one of the more "Done in a certain way" kind of characters, with the acceptation that Ratchet is a medic and needs things done in a certain way, while Weiss grew out of that phase and became more of a team player. Despite their backgrounds, with the old Ratchet being a medical officer and Weiss being a heiress to her company, they are both equally skilled warriors. Their style of combat does differ from one another, as Ratchet has blades and welders in his arsenal, forcing him to take his opponents head on, though due to his high ranking surgeon skills he know where to strike. Weiss can mix between both close and long range combat, as her weapon allows her to do both, capable of taking on enemies up close and personal, as well as provide cover fire or even enhance her teammates. They have both made great sacrifices to reach where they are now, with Weiss leaving her home to join in the fight, and Ratchet having to give his all to save the very planet that was lost to the great war. They weren't always the best at "playing with others", often times depending on who that other player was. With Weiss it use to be Ruby, a young girl who got luck and took, what she thought was going to be hers, the title of team leader, but as time went on the pair soon became close and even... "besties". For Ratchet, it was Wheeljack, "Wheeljack is insubordinate, a ruffian." At first Ratchet was a bit annoyed with the was Wheeljack ran his Wrecker operations, not to mention with him calling Ratchet "Doc", as well as Sunshine, really irritated him, but they both looked past their differences and managed to earn each others respect. Not to mention the life threatening injuries they have both received, what with Weiss being impaled and Ratchet receiving a critical blow from Megatron. They even reached a point where they were in a state of mourning, so to speak, with being torn away from basically her family, and Ratchet suffering from the loss of his close friend, Optimus Prime. Though in the end they both recovered from this temporary state and continued onward in their journeys.
