Okay then, my application for the new OCT pokemon-game-over!

Joy-Trainer
Female/Hardy
Generally friendly, although she can be stand-offish
around people she doesnt know. Mostly laid-back, occasionally forgetful and frequently clumsy. While somewhat intelligent, she will often confuse herself by overthinking simple things. When she is engaged in a battle she becomes intensely focused upon it, and an excellent strategist. She is also rather competitive when in the heat of battle. she is not hot headed, but is fiercly protective of her pokemon. She can get frustrated easily, and infrequently hot-headed.
She will wear her goggles over her eyes if she is underwater, flying on Atlas, or in harsh terrain. Pretty much whenever she isn't indoors haha.

Irving-Houndoom
Male/Early Bird/Brave
Irving is Joy's first pokemon, and the leader of the group. He sees it as his job to keep the group in line. Irving has been with Joy for the whole of his life. When she was 10 Joy saved his egg from a group of rather unsavoury children who were threatening to smash it. Joy confronted the children (which was rather out of character) and managed to save the egg, although not before recieving a beating from the children who were deprived of their plaything. Irving is untrusting of small children and is very uncomfortable around them (much like his trainer). Even though he was still in his egg, Irving knew what Joy had done for him and as such is unwaveringly loyal to and protective of Joy. Irving and Valentine have been best of friends since they were young.
The only physical features that distinguish him from other houndoom are the red spots above his eyes. He has rather curved horns.

Valentine-Feraligatr
Male/Torrent/Relaxed
Valentine is a very chilled out pokemon. In battle he is focused and takes orders seriously. Outside of battle he is kind of lazy and just happy to have a snooze in the sun. Joy recieved Valentine as a totodile when she was 10 from professor Elm's lab. She had coerced her parents into taking her there when the egg she was caring for (Irving) started getting cracks in it. Valentine just happened to take a liking to the little girl and followed her. The lab staff decided that it was best to let him go with her as he had a tendency to bite. Joy was more than happy to take him home with her.

Devlin-Delcatty
Male/Cute Charm/Gentle
Despite his battered appearance Devlin is really a sweetheart. Joy is his second trainer. His first trainer abandoned him as a skitty for being a weak pokemon. Against his nature Devlin picked fights with other pokemon he came across (most of which were far stronger) to prove his worth. When Joy found him he was very thin and weak. He is heavily scarred and is missing most of his left ear. After careful training he is now a rather strong battler. He doesn't care much for male trainers (mainly from the experience from his first trainer). Devlin is more than happy to snuggle up and be petted, and appreciates a good sleep!

Pandora-Umbreon
Female/Synchronize/Adamant
recieved Pandora as an egg. When she was sixteen, Joy travelled home from Kanto to visit with her family for christmas. Her sister’s gift to her was an egg that belonged to her flareon. She didnt have the time to look after it, and thought that her little sister would be more suited to the task. Joy was all too happy to accept it. The egg hatched quickly into a bouncy, affectionate, albeit rather odd coloured eevee. Pandora wears a gold star pendant on a blue ribbon around her neck. Joy bought it for her while she was still an eevee, as she woudn't stop staring at it.
She admires Irving for being a strong dark type, and has a little crush on him. Her rings have a tendency to glow quite alot.

Kit-Ninetales
Male/Flash Fire/Sassy
Kit has two weaknesses. The ladies, and his stomach. Joy caught him by appealing to the latter. Stoping to have lunch with her pokemon, Joy noticed little tails bobbing and a little nose twitching in the nearby bushes. She threw some food in front of them and watched as a thin little vulpix hastily ate it. The vulpix then proceeded to follow Joy until she asked him to join her party. Kit is a little more heavy set than most ninetales, but the extra nourishment has made his coat extra glossy. He knows he is gorgeous, and believes the lady pokemons think that too! He is at first reluctant to hit a pretty female pokemon in battle, but as soon as they threaten to mess up his fur he will become serious.

Atlas-Aerodactyl
Male/Rock Head/Careful
Physically Atlas is quite alot larger than most aerodactyls. He is just shy of 12 feet high (with a much larger wingspan), which makes him a wonderful mode of transport for Joy. She had him revived from a chunk of amber Irving dug up on her first trip to Kanto. She recieved a pokeball containing the aerodactyl from the lab on Cinnabar Island. It wasn't until she let him out that she realised just how big he was. Atlas was a bit of an uncontrolled monster at this time (Joy believes that trauma of death and being revived millions of years later was the cause of his destructive behaviour). After a large amount of training and some gentle encouragment he has calmed down. He is aware of his size and is always vigilant not to crush other people or pokemon with a careless swing of the tail. In battles he ignores everything Joy taught him about restraint and goes all out at full power (but that isnt to say he doesn't listen to Joy's commands). He is very wary around humans that he doesn't know, which can lead to some hostile behaviour.

Jet-Pidgey
Female/Keen Eye/Bold
*Jet is purely a companion pokemon. She in no way will participate or battle at any time during the tournament. She is always out of her pokeball, as Joy doesn't actually have it with her (Jet was left at home, but followed Joy only landing on her shoulder when it was too late to go back). Jet has been with Joy since she started he journey, but has never felt the need to evolve. She has no fear of larger pokemon and is really very curious.
