From what I recall in the original, she was pretty open and he just seemed to not really be interested. Not sure how that was altered in the remaster.

Actually I think we both have this backwards. Just rewatched the cutscenes from the original and Reignited. Elora was friendly to to Spyro in the original but she never showed any romantic interest. They were just good friends.
However, in the Reignited scenes, there was more emotion shown with the characters. She actually showed romantic interest at the end of the 3rd game when she made a return. Guess Spyro was a fool for not noticing. π€ͺ
