Description
Example: V (For Vendetta), Ezio, Robin Hood, The Punisher, Batman, etc...People that fight crime and generally do the right thing with little regard to "laws"- might actually be very anti-government, unable to trust them to handle everything right so they take matters into their own hands...maybe stand against the government itself if it is boiling with corruption.
Sounds a bit like what Jesus was like too. He did what was the right thing and was not intimidated by man's stupid law... like when it came to working on the sabbath and all that silly jazz. ^^

I love CG. I love it when shitty-fantasy "evil" traits, like intelligence, stealth, scientific worldviews, rejection of dogma, eccentricity, etc., are portrayed with the HEROES.
Sadly, nobody seems to write like that...

Wolverine, Anakin Skywalker, Robin Hood, and many other characters still embody Chaotic Good.

Wait, wait... Anakin Skywalker. The guy whose “chaotic” ultimately leads to him slaughtering children and becoming Darth Vader.
Wolverine also isn’t the best example because many, many people have written badly for X-Men, and “gritty and edgy” comic books aren’t exactly a positive depiction of Chaotic Good.
What I was trying to get at in this old post was that Chaotic Good is often depicted as a “lesser” form of good, and traits like I mentioned above are considered “evil” traits, and most good characters who have them are good “despite” them.

Yes, Anakin Skywalker. Not Vader, Anakin Skywalker. And also, if you you look at the Jedi and teh Sith, you'll see that Anakin was Chaotic Good for a reason. For all their talk of protecting the peace, the Jedi tended to be hypocritical of themselves. Anakin himself could see that the Jedi weren't all they were cracked up to be. And not just him, but Qui-Gon Jinn. And while Anakin did turn to the Dark Side, there were many points that the Jedi themselves were responsible for him turning (Their stance on the war, Mace Windu about to execute Palpatine in cold blood, etc.) Also, Anakin never really followed the Jedi Code all the way to the letter but he was still a good guy. Chaotic Godo tends to combine a good heart with a free spirit, which is what Anakin had, much like Qui-Gon.
Wolverine also is one of the examples of a Chaotic Good as well. Take his moments of the 90s X-Men cartoon, for example. His verbal disputes with Cyclops (who largely Lawful Good, always adhering to the teachings of Xavier), often going off on his own to do good in his own way, using violence and instinct to help people. He may have been violent and angry most of the time, but he always had a soft spot for kids. Not to mention he was part of a team, so they often helped him reign in his more Chaotic tendencies on occasion. But ultimately, Wolverine was still one of the good guys. Though it should be noted that before he met Xavier, he was Chaotic Neutral.

Ah, Chaotic Good. One of my favorite alignments.
Nice commentary on Jesus there, as well: not something people will usually say about him.

Ah well it seems most people these days don't know him as well as they should. He went out of his way to do the right thing and tell others to do right, even if their 'higher ups' disapproved.

Badass stamp.
By the way, I think Buddha is neutral good.

You know... I never thought about Jesus being chaotic good, but you bring a good point. O_o
