1. Don Bluth Films I would say this takes up the MAJORITY of influence. I started drawing dinosaurs a lot since that film and still today I draw my anthros and dinosaur-like creatures with an evident piece of his influence. Also, the emotion of the films inspired me to do the same. Animation/drawings should go beyond just being seen...they need to be felt.
2. Danger Mouse I adopted a bit of the style from this cartoon. But then you have this detective and his assistant share adventures around the world, because of this I had a fond interest in geography, languages, flags, unique cultures, and as my friends from gradeschool could attest I was a rabid England fan =3. I started talking with a british accent in school and drank my lunch juice with my pinky sticking out- I kid you not, I was helplessly immersed.
And um... I hated the Revolutionary War too lmol. Kids, right? Kids are just hilarious
3. Underdog Underdog taught me, as a kid, that you can get knocked on yer butt several times before you manage to win the day. At first I was upset that UD would go from having phenomenal power to being as frail as dried roses if he doesn't take the pill to restore his strength... but then I realized later that it makes a compelling story if the hero isn't indestructible. From then on I created stories in which heroes were repeatedly kicked down, captured, tortured, weakened, etc... (though ultimately they get through it and win in the end lol) Mind you I was nine- already writing about gruesome violence lol.
4. Gargolyes This show ultimately inspired me to create a char that, from what I could remember, was some odd cross between Knuckles the echidna and a gargoyle O_o. This show influenced me to rethink about heroes and what they look like- what makes someone good or evil has nothing to do with their species or what they look like... it's what they do.
5. Rocko's Modern Life Joe Murray added situational comedy that I don't see often in any other toons. It influenced my work, and well... ^^ still at ten I added some suggestive humor lmol. I swear, I've always been mature beyond my years.
6. Sailor Moon, 7. Dragon Ball Z While I agree that they are not the best animes ever, they were truly my first animes (if you don't count My Favorite Fairy Tales). Like ANYONE would when they discover anime, they'll adopt some elements of the style..so I did. But what I adopted, besides the big sparkly eyes, was a further understanding of conveying emotion. What I like about anime is just that; they focus on the spiritual a lot. Oo
Dragon Ball Z inspired me to get creative with fighting moves; well, when they actually FOUGHT instead of just standing there talking!!
8, 9, 10. Disney Movies I don't care if you agree with me or not... I say the best time for Disney was the nineties! The Lion King, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast... that era was the best! Roger Allers is the best animation director that worked with them. Lion King especially was a very moving piece, inspiring me again with epic tragedy and retribution. I wasn't aware at the time that it was basically Hamlet played by animals, or that Kimba existed. Now that I know... I still don't care lol... I like it.
11. Archie's Sonic the Hedgehog / Knuckles the Echidna Once upon a time, long long long ago, the writings of Ken Penders and the art of Pat Spaziante and Manny Galan inspired me in a great way. Again, back in the nineties when everything was ten times better
Oh yes, and the Dark Legion; I come to the realization that sometimes it's not about good vs evil... but about one ideal vs another. The Dark Legion appear to be evil at first, until you realize their goal is to restore the technology that was banned hundreds of years ago when it caused conflict within Echidna society.
12. Battlechasers Wow... there is a moment in this comic, as a character tells the story of his youth, when he reveals that his own father was cold-hearted enough to slaughter the woman that mothered him and throw the boy in the dungeon and...ultimately have his hands chopped off? I don't have that comic with me so I can't remember all the details, but I was like...damn that is COLD! I wonder if he was under a spell. O.o
13 Lord of the Rings I'll admit, I hardly read the books because it goes on and on and on about details and characters that are not important to the story and it's like...zzzzzz. But the movie was great! I was influenced by the mystical, mysterious, epic feel of it.
14. Miyazaki Films Something struck me when I watched Princess Mononoke and I wish I can describe what it was. The movie flowed in such a way... it's hard to explain. Beautifully, perhaps... yes. And again we have that conflict that is not between good and evil, but between two different worlds that forgot how to coexist.
15 Star Wars While I'm sure this movie was an influence to others who like the space fights, ships, fighters, and laser shows.... what appealed to me the most about this trilogy was a hero whose father is a villain! I was really young when I saw this for the first time and never before did I ever see such a thing happen! The villain is the hero's father! And he used to be a good guy! Wow!
And then Vader officially became the first villain I LIKED XD
So the father and son fighting each other...that was just epic to me XD
16 The Matrix Sure I'm not a huge fan now... but it was a revolutionary film back then. It was 1996! After you had all those other boring, uninspiring action flick you get this! I think the sci fi lover emerged from me when I saw it.
17 The Animatrix Then this came out. ^^ All those various styles of animation coming together in one DVD It's part of what made me rethink about styles and that none are no better than each other, just different...
18 Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust The tragedy and dark romance of this movie was very influential XD
19 Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Am I the only one that skips to the fight between Cloud and Sephiroth? I knew I liked Seph in the beginning, but this movie really made me go "woohoooyeah!". What did I get out of this? Hmm... I started to like dark and mysterious villains that are calm and collective.... more
20 Drizzt / Dark Elves of D&D If it was not for this I probably wouldn't have made a Dark Elf in Oblvion...thus Malkhai would not really exist. Though, officially, she's not really a Dark Elf anymore. Officially she is something of my own creation but... anyway... so Drizzt proves that one cannot be BORN evil. Races may be prone to sway to the evil side, but there is always a chance that someone will be unique to their kin.
21RA Salvatore When I finished the Dark Elf Trilogy I realized that what makes a great book is not the kind of words you use, but the quality of the actual STORY part of it. As long as what you write is enjoyable to read, should it matter that it doesn't have gargantuan words or massive amounts of detail? People get lost in the detail and loose focus on the actual STORY part of the piece when you take too long to describe the orange shirt a girl is wearing
22 The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion I never played the previous three, needless to say even knew they existed until TESO. The Dark Brotherhood Questline would be the most influential; Don't want anyone to get the impression that I'd copy it, NO! But it did inspire my own work that... sorta started out similar, but now it has it's own identity after I tweaked with it. It began when I was writing fan fics based on the DB and thought what I had was too good for fan fiction... because I started having my own ideas, own interpretations, own bla bla bla that made the DB all too unique to the original Oblivion guild. If I wanted so much changed, altered, and enhanced why don't I just write my own crap? XD
Okay enough said about that. I don't want anything spoiled.
23 Stephen King Much like Salvatore, King doesn't go into great amount of detail; just enough to give you a good idea about what is happening in the story, but not so much that you loose focus on the story. I'm the kind of person that is like "just get on with the damn story already! I don't care about _____". So unless it is important to the story I don't care, and so I find King's work enjoyable because he does stick to just important facts. Also, he does a great job making characters believable.... and although he doesn't write comedy he adds something in his books here and there to make you laugh. The way he describes people and places... he gets delightfully creative with the way he words things. Him, Rowling, Koontz.... they changed the way I write my own stories.
24 Assassins Creed 2 I think it was the game trailer that inspired me the most. Watching Ezio soar over the rooftops...being a badass hooded hottie mmm... and striking from out of the crowd like a slithering snake mmmm. I like that =3
25. Raven Raven, formally a wrestler on TNA, always has something interesting to read on his blog (and I guess now he's gonna have vlogs. Sweet). His style gave me influence for one of my chars
26. Loreena McKennitt Now for the musical side- music is perhaps 70% of my daily inspiration. I'll be sitting here listening to the radio and a certain song will play and sometimes instantly put an image in my mind that I ultimately draw. Having the right mood setting effects the outcome of a piece. So anyway, with McKennitt's beautiful voice accompanying the soulful music... it stimulates something in my mind and produces images of just... things I try to transfer onto paper but fail horribly. "Prologue" and "Dante's Prayer" will never get old, and they are major influences behind my writing and art like the "Heartlands" story and "The Last Kiss Goodbye"
27 Hans Zimmer He makes very powerful soundtracks. The Lion King, Batman, Pirates, Last Samurai... I listen to his tracks to get a feel for something epic happening like a battle, a struggle against the odds, a hero rising from the ashes...
28 The Secret Garden The way they influence me is somewhat like Loreena. "Ode to Simplicity" has to take home the gold for being the most influential for pieces that are calm, still, serene, peaceful... and perhaps sad too. That song is calm and yet feels a bit sad too.
Alright so that's the end of it right? Well no. I am rather tired and I have written a lot, but I CANNOT leave out some really important people here on DA that have inspired me. I just didn't put it in the chart because I don't want to upset them by using an image without their authorization...
So here they are, deviants that inspired me too...
Through inspiring work and/or immense encouragement I continue to advance in my own. Thank you so much! I am slowly rebuilding myself as an artist, trying to experiment with different styles to find one I like to use most. It's always helpful to get advise and when I've done well it is encouraging when people point that out. (Same goes for when I am not doing well. One cannot develop well unless they know their errors too) Thanks so much!
OH CRAP I missed GiS and Reboot...
OH well I am too tired to work on that now. Let's say they inspired me and be satisfied with that until maybe tomorrow lol! Sorry XD XD XD

I nodded along with some of those influences as I read your description. Some of those shows have influenced me as well. Love all three music choices as well.
I'm tempted to try my hand at this though I have a feeling I'd struggle putting it together.

I'm.. I-I'm quite surprised and flattered to have been mentioned here! I'm glad I could have made some sort of difference. You really are an awesome artist and will only get better!
Everyone else on this list is amazing too~
I agree that everything on here is of fantastic influence. *w* Especially Don Bluth, Disney, LotR and other oldie toons~ I haven't had the chance to read about Drizzt but I most certainly will.
