Description "Dragons were hunted for a few reasons; to kill for profit, to exterminate as "vermin", to use their parts for armor and weapons, for self-glorification and impressing others with their ability to take down the most powerful thing on earth... but a dragon would rather suffer the fates above than spend the rest of their lives in captivity- made a spectacle, a side show, an exhibit.... a fading legend whose spirits slip away gradually before age and cruel conditions take life."

Okay I need to do happy stuff soon. I keep doing sad stuff lately lol. Someone frees her eventually...if that helps XD;

This is a potential quote from... a project in the works

Ok, this was inspiring. I had to write this little story for it. I hope you don't mind. (I don't know how to upload text, so I'll just write it here. Anyway, then you can look at the picture. I hope you like it. Your painting is beautiful. It just inspired me. It sounds like you wrote something on it too, so I really hope you don't mind. I haven't read yours (if it's up) just in case this sounds similar. It's pretty short, don't worry.

* * *
I looked into the creature's eyes intently. It's eyes were sad... *You don't like it here, do you?*, I thought. The chains dug into its face, and the ropes looked so harsh around it's neck and mouth.
*Please help me* it begged.
"Moving on now..." Our tour guide called me back to the group. I didn't want to leave the dragon. "Kerasa! Now!" I obeyed, glancing over my shoulder the whole time.
My family were dragon slayers, what would they say if they knew I cared about one? One that I had just seen for the first time, but already felt connected to somehow.
+ + +
That night I sneaked back into show cages where all number of monstrosities were kept. I quickly found the dragon, having marked out the way in my head. When he saw me approach he lifted his head and made a low whimpering sound. Had he been human there would have been tears of gratitude in his eyes.
Pulling a knife from a hidden pocket in my corset I cut the ropes away. The dragon tried to stand up, rattling the chains loudly. "Sh!" I reminded, "Sh, we need to be quiet now." The dragon looked understanding, and lowered down again. Using the tip of my knife I managed to pick the lock on the dragon's chain, and set his head free. After I finished unbinding his wings, he spread them wide and looked down at me. He made the same low whimper sound again.
"What do you want, sweet one?" I asked, started to be frightened.
Slowly, the dragon leaned down his head towards me, nuzzling under my chin with his warm nose. He made another low noise, but it was a happy sound.
"Do you want me to come with you?" I asked.
The dragon nuzzled more, then lifted his head and stared into my eyes.
"Um...ok..." I agreed.
He lowered his head and I wrapped my arms around his neck, swinging up onto his back.
"Like this?" I asked, terrified.
He nodded with a decided "humph" and started shaking his wings. I put my arms around his neck again, and closed my eyes.
Next thing I knew we were flying...
* * *

There you go. I hope you liked it. That's just what popped into my head. It's probably not well written at all, (I was going fast, give me a break!) but I hope it was entertaining anyways.

You are an amazing artist.

This is both cruel and horrible (the situation not the art). He should not be made to suffer like this for the amuzement of others. Dragons are intellegent individuals that would prefer not to harm people. Yet people on the other hand seem to like to torture and kill that which they do not understand, thus is condition known as human arrogance.

Excellent work, excellent attention to detail, this is beautiful work, among the best that I've seen. Truley a great job.
