There’s a little story when it came to make this piece
Like I’ve recently said, I’ve been watching Code Geass. After finishing both seasons, I thought up an idea to draw Yang from RWBY as Kallen with her own version of the Gurren mainly because the Gurren has a different right arm and Yang lost her’s (still f–k you Adam)
That got me wondering, who was Kallen’s Japanese voice actress. I already knew her English VA was Karen Strassman (the only thing of main importance and recognition for me was her voicing Phi in Zero Escape) so I decided to look up her Japanese VA
Taking the longest way possible for me, I instead looked up Ibuki from Dangan Ronpa, found her JVA, Ami Koshimizu (cause I knew she’ s the one that voices Yang in Japan) and looked at her list, and found she voices Kallen
I, could not, believe, the Ultimate Komaeda-esk bullshit (/coincidence) that they have the same JVA, so then I had to draw this.
I love how Yang looks and how her Knightmare, the Beegurren (yeah bad joke/pun) came out, looks really epic
